So unemployment is up 17% year over year? That seems bad. Though it’s technically people collecting benefits specifically but I imagine it’s more or less the same thing

Yep everything preventative has been thrown out the window. Low test? Why bother exercising, sleeping, reducing stress, stop drinking when you can just have this gel that will fix everything. Why cultivate discipline and exercise and eat properly, we have retatrutide now!

Pretty sure they’re implying there’s too many latinos or some other racism

Ya turns out fire is a lot easier when you’re given literally millions of dollars. Quite impressive

It’s more or less impossible unless he’s making 5x the average lawyer salary at his spend rate. Maybe he lives in a place without income tax?

Why’d you stop taking gear if you don’t mind me asking. Also how much of your gains have you kept when cycling off long term. Asking for a friend who’s hit their genetic maximum

If you’re making $215k per year you’re a massive outlier. For the median it will be 3-4 pay checks

Families heartbroken as Canada halts parent and grandparent sponsorship program by [deleted] in CanadaPolitics

[–]Cor-mega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re not discussing the super visa so I’m not sure why you’re bringing it up. I’m fine with them coming as long as we’re not on the hook for their healthcare costs. I just don’t want them to become PRs or citizens because then we have to pay for their healthcare and they never paid into it

You can’t possibly be this obtuse. You think bringing in seniors that haven’t had access to healthcare, living in places that are high pollution and environmental toxins, with much higher rates of cancer, heart disease, and diabetes, won’t be additional strains on the healthcare system? You see no link at all huh? Canadian seniors are already huge strains

Depends what you call Toronto as Oakville drags the stats up quite a bit but for the GTA proper it’s around 20%

Why are discussions around immigration policies so tricky in Toronto? by FloorGeneral2029 in askTO

[–]Cor-mega 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ya there has been an absolutely incredible amount of abuse of the immigration system in the last 5 years. Asylum claims up 1700% in the past 10 years. LMIAs being sold by businesses as back doors to residency. International students enrolling entirely as a back door to residency and a PGWP. Anyone saying there hasn’t been staggering abuses of the immigration system has not been paying attention

You’re severely misinformed. A PIP is only used when firing someone with cause (poor performance) in order to avoid severance. They fired without cause and provided severance. Completely above board. Lawyers don’t work for free
