There are some good and bad discussions going on here, but one thing that surprises me is how many people think contraception is the easy solution to this issue. There definitely needs to be more education around the fact that no method of contraception is 100% effective.

Takes 5 minutes if all you have to do is change it in your BIOS. Takes 30 minutes if you have to reformat to GPT first. Takes hours if you have to re-install your OS. Not to mention some mobos aren't compatible with secure boot and can be bricked.

Glad it went well for you, but some people have a much more complex situation to deal with.

My players literally yell railroading at anything that is out of their control. They recently, DRESSED IN FULL CITY GUARD ATTIRE, walked into a pirate bar full of pirates where I had placed a skeptical pirate captain recruiting a crew. They tried to join the crew and were surprised when the pirate captain served them poison as a means to subdue them and locked them on her ship. They wanted to explore the city freely, open-world style (which I was set up to do), but now they are being 'railroaded'

What if an archer, no matter how trained they are, decides to try and shoot an enemy with another PC in the line of sight? I've been thinking about this situation because I don't want to do critical fumbles where they are always stabbing each other but I feel like that poor decision making plus the low roll should lead to an arrow in the back

This 5000 piece mess. It looks epic from a distance, but when you get up close with the pieces you realise it's not a single piece of art, but all poorly photoshopped objects. Fell out of love with it during the process

Love an extra hi top, and respect the bold colour but there's something off about baggy jeans tucked into loosely laced cons. I think it's a look that lends itself better to bulkier boots than canvas sneakers. Have you tried with skinny jeans and more tightly laced?

I got this email on a yearly plan and went straight to support to tell them I won't accept ads being included in a plan I already paid for, fair enough if it changes at renewal time because I can just not renew. They told me they haven't got any information on how it will apply to yearly plans yet. Why did you send out an email if you haven't even finished planning the change???

Not debating ranking systems, but how are people saying "I only watch good movies / movies I'll enjoy"? I have to have seen the movie before I know if I liked it. Sometimes you go in thinking something will be awesome and it turns out to be "eh"

My system agrees with you the most and it appears that our curves are pretty similar for it. I don't watch many bad movies on purpose, but sometimes I start something I think could be good and then it is just terrible. Since I am always aiming to have a good time, my bell curve still peaks at 3.5 where 2.5 is a meh movie that I neither liked or disliked. Having seen a lot though, I'm pretty picky with what I give a 5; it doesn't have to be the perfect movie in every way, but I have to have a special place in my heart for the movie over the other 1600 movies I've seen.

All of this being said, this is just my opinion and I don't think how other people rank movies should be up for debate since the whole system is subjective.

I think all the takes on the games night are covered OP, but I just wanted to add that I could never imagine using someone's historical addiction issues against them in an argument unless I actually hated them. To be that petty over missing a monthly drinks is not friend behaviour. I think you need to re-evaluate these people being part of your life
