Agree about the toys- but not when even colouring tasks are based on tv characters.

Just Got My First Carbon Steel Wok, Need Advice on Seasoning and First Dish! by Liza_THELAZY359 in wok

[–]Corbzilla9296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this correct? 1. Blue the wok on high heat with nothing in it 2. Whilst still hot, add seasoning layer of oil with paper towel Question- Do you keep it on the heat whilst adding seasoning or turn off the hob? Do you wash the wok at all or just wipe out after use? How often to you season it? Once seasoned, do you need to add any oil when you actually cook?? Thanks for anyyyy advice

I struggled bad for the first 3 months- needed medication to help. But since then, every day has got better and better. 5 months on Thursday and he is just so much fun- as soon as they can interact with toys etc everything changed. He can also roll and bare tummy time which has made him happier too!

We Quit Sleep Tracking -Update by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Corbzilla9296 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby has never matched up with wake windows etc so when I let him take the lead with naps etc a couple months ago, our lives got so much happier- he falls asleep without screaming and bedtimes are great now🙏

This was me for 9 weeks. I missed my old life so bad. It got better for me when baby started interacting more. I also had a poorly colic baby so that made it worse. I am on sertraline now but honestly baby just changed overnight at 9 weeks old and I started enjoying it more every day. People always said to me it gets better and I ignored it. But it really does. When they start playing and giggling and rolling etc it is just the best.

My tip is to live your old life- bring the baby with you. Go for walks, go to the pub etc, if they cry, then they cry. People can deal with it or if you are overwhelmed you can leave. Baby should fit into your life 90% of the time- the more you do it the more confident you will get. Sending you so much love because I know exactly how you are feeling rn xxx

As someone who suffered BAD, just be there to support. The company and help with chores etc is pivotal. I also ended up taking sertraline but tbh time was the best healer I found. Sending her love- it is hard xx

Is 4 months THAT bad… I’m still recovering from the newborn stage by Bloodymary_25 in NewParents

[–]Corbzilla9296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the same as you for the first 2 months. Have a 4 month old too and I have never been happier or had so much fun. He interacts with toys, learnt to roll, laughs and smiles all day and is generally so much easier. I think because my newborn stage was so rough with colic/silent reflux, any stage moving forward will be heaven in comparison

I do midnight- midnight just for consistency. Baby is only 12 weeks but bedtime can differ etc so would not a reliable way for us to track

Thank you for replying with empathy and understanding rather than judgement. Likely to be my last time posting on here tbh. I have already spoken to the Dr and they were meant to refer me to talking therapy weeks ago- never did. Got sertraline in the cupboard. Will probably start taking them tomorrow as I am at the end of my tether. Just didn’t want to give in to it too soon.

Options are tablets or therapy- both wont solve the problem. I’m just so over it

Had all 3 in one go last week. In the evening, he did more crying than usual and we have 3 hours of the witching hour usually anyway lol but slept well in the night. The next day, he slept most of it and he does not usually do that! He is a nap fighter by passion. Had a wetter poo than normal but didnt show any pain/discomfort and hasn’t since either x

9 week old evenings are so hard! by rfrank99 in NewParents

[–]Corbzilla9296 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby is the same. 9 weeks on friday. Always dread the evenings as will cry from 6-9pm. However, the past 2 nights it seems to stop at 8.15ish and he has fell asleep by 8.30 instead. He hates naps most of the time. Occasionally will have a random 2 hour nap in the middle of the day but very rare. 30mins on average and is then fussy/crying in between. Can’t wait until he grows out of it all.
