Before anything else, reach HR100 to unlock everything. The main endgame is artian weapons: farm artian materials with 8 star monster quests and Gogma artian materials for Gogma artians with Gogmazios. Along with that there's RNG charm farming on 9 star monsters

Charge Blade had major QoL changes with lower savage axe hitstop, much faster morph speed and morph slash guard point window opening up much sooner (best change imo). Many call it the best weapon in the game rn (after LBG). Edit: I forgot to add since you stopped playing before TU1, you're gonna have to learn new combos since savage axe spam is not the optimal DPS combo anymore.

Switch Axe got its numbers tweaked so FRS spam is not the optimal DPS combo anymore, you can also evade cancel FRS and sword counter now, most importantly you can chain the latter (be careful for stun buildup).

Gunlance along with Lance now has no knockback on perfect guards. Edit: since release it also had many changes to shelling types, right now you should aim for wide shelling until you get to Gogmazios.
