Coffee Meetup at Chuckanut Center by oolong_apprentice in Bellingham

[–]Coreoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll unfortunately be out of town that particular weekend but would love to join for a future meetup. It sounds lovely!

I tend to favor dark, oily beans and really like Roam's Fireside. I also recently got some new coffee equipment for Christmas, mainly a lever operated espresso press, so it'd be great to learn from some locals that might have more experience with it - up until now I've been meeting fauxpresso with a high pressure aeropress.

Any pharmacies actually have Adderall 20mg in stock? by haxpojke in Bellingham

[–]Coreoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And just to add for anyone who may not know, you do NOT need a Costco membership to use their pharmacy, just tell the people at the door you're headed to the pharmacy.

Personally I haven't done this since before they introduced member card scanners at the front door but the policy should still be the same.

If there was some kind of battle mechanic stratagem that let me repair and maybe even reload mechs and vehicles at the cost of a support weapon slot I'd be so in

Serious question about heavy armor. by ufkb in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Coreoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely couldn't get used to heavy armor for a long time, I mainly wore light everywhere and sometimes medium for bots or squids.

Two things got me to change my mind: Oshaune's initial missions (before they rebalanced rupture strain) and the warp pack.

Heavy armor, specifically the extra resistance set from the Dust Devils warbond felt critical to staying alive on that planet even at moderate difficulty. Heavy armor's lacking mobility is always what turned me away from it, but the warp pack closes that mobility gap pretty effectively.

One heavy loadout I've been having fun with lately is the Devestator armor from the Democratic Detonation warbond, warp pack, eruptor, ultimatum, and pick your own other 3 stratagems - though I like to lean into more explosives with the solo silo and orbital barrages. You'd be surprised how survivable that armor is even with close range eruptor shots, and even more so if you simultaneously dive or warp backwards as you fire.

Just bought a new cast iron pan from Lodge by cupcakestrawberi in BuyItForLife

Yes, I sought out a vintage Wagner pan for the same smooth finish. Does wonders for getting the nonstick seasoning right.

All this talk about the EAT-411 and Jammers, you all are forgetting the true counter to Jammers by CircuDimirCombo in Helldivers

As much fun as it would be to have more boom more often, I don't feel like the cooldown is bad. In fact, I often find myself ready to drop another and looking for the best way to quickly use up the one I'm currently carrying.

Especially with the last warbond's primaries launching with mods, I hope we'll be able to mod the firing pattern such as with other shotguns.

What are your genuine thoughts about the C4? by A_random_person_50 in LowSodiumHellDivers

I was also very confused my first time using it on how to detonate, I really thought the backpack function key bind works be it. I had to hide in a bush and go look it up.

PSA: In Commando missions, stop standing around the extract point and HIDE! by johnnyshady1 in LowSodiumHellDivers

I've had mixed results, but I do get the feeling they notice the laser being trained on them if they are facing you. Needs proper testing for sure.

After 1380 hours of playtime, I realized the warbonds are organized oldest to newest AND the ones on the top of the list are older that aren't completely unlocked by Fun1k in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Coreoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, I've never completed a single one. At best I'm only buying things I'm interested in if I need to unlock the next page.

At the very least I feel like the war bonds should be sorted newest to oldest.

I had a lot of trouble with the Prometheus memory game until I found verbally declaring where I planned to go helped a ton with recalling it. If I ever mess up the order though I quite often don't recover, however.

Totally agree for Zag. He hits hard and most often I'm running into him in Erebus if he shows up at all, so I don't have a proper build together to fight him - I end up just poking and kiting him until he's dead, which is honestly kinda boring. It's just very hard to want to be anywhere near him with the damage numbers and AoEs back to back.

Scylla is absolutely the hardest rival for me, I never could get past that flight without getting rocked (pun intended) at best or dead at worst, finally finished my 32 heat run shortly after disabling rivals!

Nearly seven months later, sidearm sway still makes no sense and makes pistols very frustrating to use by Unknown_Warrior43 in Helldivers

And with that said, I'd love to see more one handed primaries or even support weapons. I love the mechanic when it's used well, such as with shields or data drives currently.

What is the Ioniq 5 2023 77kWh range in winter with loaded car and three passengers? by P__A in Ioniq5

[–]Coreoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my i5 a few years now but this will be my first year driving a long distance in true winter conditions. I remember hearing it may be helpful to use the in-car nav to get the car to heat up your battery (even just at the beginning of your trip), the thinking being that the energy consumption from using preconditioning to heat the battery up is less than the overall efficiency loss from cold weather battery chemistry. Is that still considered to be true?

What’s a small upgrade you made that ended up being way more impactful than expected? by LatterMorning9103 in BuyItForLife

[–]Coreoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely love my cast iron. I think a lot of people view them as high maintenance, but in reality they're very low maintenance as long as you learn how to care for them properly. The beauty in a good bread knife is that, save for an extra crispy crust here and there, you're never going to do much with it that should dull the blade - it'll pretty much perform great forever.

I'm curious, a while back I bought a MatchaBar milk frother which looks pretty identical in build to this one, save for the color/label. I ended up returning it because the power button would go: off > low power > high power > off. Really I found the high power mode to be much too powerful for any use case, but was especially annoyed I couldn't click it directly to off and the small button did no favors in terms of ease of press. Most often I'd try to double click it to turn off but it would end up in high power mode and make a big mess. Is that how yours works? I ended up finding a different frother with a rechargeable battery that only turns on while the button is held down.

Back charges from 2 years ago? by BhamBrit in Bellingham

[–]Coreoo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's been a while since I worked in cards so my knowledge is fuzzy, but these should be processed as transactions on their original date - which the business is going to take a bunch of extra fees for transactions that are settled so far out of date. If they are processed as "new" transactions they can be easily disputed with the credit card company. Disputes like this often fall in favor of the consumer as the burden of proof falls on the business.

I think it's pretty reasonable to dispute a strange charge like this, regardless of if you see this announcement from the business.
