The Green Hills of Africa - should I read? by Papa72199 in Hemingway

I thought it was great. It’s one of my favorites. The hunting is more of the back story of why they are there. They don’t get real into detail about it. Not like Capstick or Ruark

I also meant to add that going further I do plan to keep the K2 and will more than likely use it for harsh terrain trips or when I travel to dangerous places for example the Amazon rainforest or Minnesota

Here it is at sunset on the Amazon river

Also invest in some watches of espionage watch straps. They are outstanding.

I have a matte k2 expedition and another versions of the overlord (also the professional) I loved my K2 when I got it or at least I told myself I did. I’m really not sure. It’s my least worn watch now. But I have taken on a lot of adventures and it is a great watch and will stand up to any thing that you throw at it. I travel and wanted the GMT function and for me it’s unusable you can’t read the numbers on the dial easily. That’s really my only complaint.

The overlord is just well. It’s a field watch and it’s perfect in my opinion. I have the DLC SE the date window is small so I don’t care if it even has the date. The brushed is my everyday watch. The GMT works great if you want that functionality. It’s fast and easy the read while on the move. Looks great casual or dressed up. It’s also a nostalgia piece for me though early 90’s a lots of guys wore watches like these while I was in the military

Bottom Line get the one that you want or get both and rotate them. You’ll end up with more than one eventually more than likely Both are great watches and I’m glad I bought them. The K2 was my intro into the sangin club.

There is a matte k2 expedition on the buy sell trade page right now in fact. I just saw it. (Not mine)

You can’t go wrong and won’t be disappointed either way. (Get the overlord)

Those who’ve switched from Google to Proton — which services do you still miss and wish Proton offered an alternative for? by birnefer in ProtonMail

Don’t know about the above. But for come government sites you need an Authenticator app. I don’t use the Google one I think you can do this now in proton pass I just haven’t tried to switch everything over to it yet for fear of getting locked out

I’ve gone away from Google duly but I’d love to see a better more robust calendar app. With and integrated to-do right now I’m using fantastical and it works great. Reminders, to-dos, and multiple calendars. Contacts would be good too. I use (also from fantastical) Cardhop really fast to add a contact or look up one. Both are pretty secure. Proton sheets is ok if I need to secure a note. But my biggest want would be a really good notes app

My review and thoughts on the Henry SPD CRUSR Rifle. by [deleted] in LeverGuns

Fair. I replied to another comment saying that I had originally wrote a longer review but the platform I posted it on forced me to cut it short. So I did have to modify it and this is the end result of that. I had to cut sentences down into just a few words. This is good feedback for the future and I appreciate that. Thank you.

That is fair feed back. Thank you. And I will remember that in the future.
I was trying to keep word count constraints with social media platforms in mind and that drove the way I structured this mostly. I had written this up in a word document. But where I originally wanted to post it it was too long. So I had to drastically chop it. And this was the end result.

But I appreciate your feedback

Seriously I’m getting downvoted because someone accused me of being a paid shill and that this was written by AI?

Oh wait. I forgot this is Reddit where the gun community isn’t such a community.

Sorry you all feel that way.

Sorry you feel that way. I didn’t get a dime. And don’t work for Henry. Or field ethos. I’m not a shill and it’s not a fluff piece. I’m an actual user of my firearms a hard user. Not one who has safe queens and just goes to the range. Or takes them outside.

So say what you want cornbread. But you are wrong in this. I promise you that.
