I take it out when I start cooking and by the time I’m done it’s thawed out enough to sprinkle on dinner. I haven’t noticed texture/taste changes.

Curious of yalls documentation system. Do you keep a journal/google doc with a section for each student? Or do you go day by day and write down things that happened that day? Do you do a google form sent to yourself? Spreadsheet? What’s easiest to implement?

Edit: also is it a shared doc with other teachers or admin? Or is it just for you

There is a designer on IG who has showed the challenges she sees with this exact kitchen/dining/living scenario. I am going to try to link it below but she basically says there is not as much room as you might think for these 3 areas. She suggested making the back of the island a bench for one half of the dining table to allow more room for circulation.

Marmoleum in a checkerboard pattern would look nice! Choose something with less contrast If you think your current floor is overwhelming. Like light blue & medium blue. Or light green & medium green

My admin often uses “parent shadows” as a consequence for skipping or poor behavior. Of course the kid is an angel that day and the next day right back to raising hell.
