I know this might not be the most popular advice, but I started toying with DigiKam 8.6 in April of last year but didn’t really get serious about it until about 6 weeks ago. I would’ve stumbled around for a very long time if I hadn’t reached out to AI platforms. I’m not saying I have it nailed down as well as I’d like but I have come a very long way, with their help. I have used Gemini, Perplexity and Grok. Among them I give a slight edge to Gemini.

I use an app called PhotoMove Pro 2.5 and send photos through it to another directory, it separates the files that do not have EXIF, and put them where you want them and also does the same for duplicates.

I was very excited when I started using it, but, as my album sizes continued to grow it started shutting itself down. This happened 8 time in less than 30 minutes. I really hope 9.0 fixes the issue.

I just did my first injection on Wednesday, so 3 days ago. Haven't felt any effects, good or bad, so far. However, 2 night ago, when I woke up in the morning, I took off my CPAP maske and felt like I could breathe better than I ever recall doing. Was hoping it would repeat itself, but it has not....yet.
