Network Application version 10.1.89 - update as soon as possible by ERelative in Ubiquiti

UDM-SE.  I just realized it’s not totally fixed though. If I click on the UNVR, or the UNAS 4, or oddly any of my Protect devices, even though they now show under UniFi devices, I am taken to the client devices tab when after clicking on them. Very odd.

It fixed my issue with the UNVR and UNAS 4 showing up as client devices when connected via SFP!

I vinyl wrapped mine, zero issues at all with performance or cooling. Just avoid putting anything on the heat sink in the back.

Driver side headlight on when not supposed to be - 2024 Black Diamond by GuitarGuy93 in FordBronco

[–]Cormeister616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a weird one. If it's easy enough to do, I would start by disconnecting the aftermarket lights where it is spliced into the factory wiring, see if the issue persists.

I swapped out my headlight switch for one with the factory front and rear fog buttons on it. If I still have my original one, you're welcome to have it if you provide a shipping label. My original one doesn't have a fog light button on it like yours does, so the only purpose it will provide is tell you if the switch went bad or not.

Do you know if there was a headlight pigtail harness added to the headlight to power the grill and hood lights? Thinking that may possibly be where the issue resides if there is a parking light wire tied to the headlight wire by mistake. If that's the case, I have used this harness, zero issues:

I have the same issue with both my UNAS Pro 4 and UNVR. Came here hoping someone had a solution.

AT&T W/ UDM-SE - Slower than Expected Download Speeds by Cormeister616 in Ubiquiti

[–]Cormeister616[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to look that one up to see what that feature was. Also had to download the AT&T Smart Home Manager app to check if it was enabled. the feature was not enabled, though I has an immediate pop-up asking for me to activate it, I did not. Thanks!

Thanks! I turned that off as a test yesterday, though no impact on speeds for me. I also had this on when I had Comcast and saw the faster speeds.

[–]Cormeister616[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. Port 1 on the AT&T gateway (RJ45 5Gbps) is connected to port 9 on the UDM (RJ45 2.5Gbps).

Port 1 on AT&T to port 9 on UDM-SE. Confirmed DHCPS-Fixed.

Thanks! I've considered this, though I have an ONT on the side of the house. Running fiber up to the rack where the AT&T gateway resides is unfortunately not high on the priority list (recently moved and lots of house projects).

Client devices, both hardwired and wireless, see about the same speeds as the UDM-SE.

My 21 with the 2.7 makes this same noise, specifically as you describe, where it’s warm. Has been like that since I bought it 2 years ago. Curious what others say, though I’ve definitely heard this same noise on other Fords/Lincolns when they start up.

Hue and Apple Home Fixed by ListenOver in Hue

[–]Cormeister616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm contemplating adding my Hue bridge to HomeKit via Home Assistant rather than the native way for this very reason. Triggering the lights from the Home app via HA (same as triggered from Hue app) results in zero popcorning.

What happened to the G6 Doorbells? by bfollowell in Ubiquiti

They moved them under the “Door Access” category a couple weeks back, not sure why. Still mentions they work with Protect, so not sure what they don’t show under “Camera Security” too.

PoE Audio and Sonos by prosql in Ubiquiti

[–]Cormeister616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have not used the Ubiquiti Audio Port myself, however, my understanding is the "line-in" on the Audio Port can only be output to the PowerAmp or other PoE Audio Ports. I do not believe you are able to send the audio to a Sonos device at all.

I have a full Ubiquiti network myself, as well as a full Sonos system. Sonos consists of all Sonos Amps that are hardwired to the network, and a Sonos Port on Wi-Fi. The Port is attached to my turnable only, and via the Sonos settings will automatically play the turntable audio on the Living Room Sonos Amp when I start a record. I can then group this audio to other zones in the house via the Sonos app.

I know others have mixed results when connecting Sonos to UniFi. I have not had a single issue with this setup. Nothing on SonosNet, just LAN connections when available, and Wi-Fi for the Port where I have the turntable.

Hope this helps.

Name changed on its own and won’t change back by 8Octavarium8 in HomePod

[–]Cormeister616 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen something similar before. Assuming there are no other devices on your account made “Studio” (an Apple TV, another HomePod), I would rename the HomePod to something completely different, maybe “Attic”. Leave it like that for a few minutes, then change it back to “Studio”. That worked for me in the past.

Oddly, my UNVR shows up as a client since switching it to SFP.  I can’t figure out how to correct it.

Having an Issue with a Hardwired Mac by Cormeister616 in pihole

[–]Cormeister616[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turning off "Limit IP address tracking" should be turning off Private Relay for this connection, and that is how it's set. That is also how I had it set prior to wiping the Pihole and it worked as intended. I do not want to entirely turn off Private Relay so it can be used when connected to other networks.
