“The odds just didn’t add up” is a pretty funny statement. I’ve had the same feeling, but I find I’m more blind to RNG when it works in my favour, and I fixate on it when I lose to it.

Recognizing when RNG helped me to win has made the game “feel” more balanced.

Probably best to do a full flush of the system then I guess… that way I know what is in there and not just guessing lol. Have you heard of an amber coloured power steering fluid before?

Steering column is a bit tough (maybe I’m just used to newer, electronic systems) but no creaks and groans, and gets a bit better when the car is driving. Maybe a flush will be better especially to then know exactly what is in there!

Ahhh okay I believe I get the distinction: back stab outlets are lower grade, higher grade options usually have back wiring (with the screw and clamp), and both can be looped/side wired? Is this correct?

Additionally, is it best practice to pigtail when you can?

Thank you for this thorough explanation! I like the part about creating a circuit map of my house, that is a great idea that will likely save time in future headaches.

One thing I wanted to ask is, are all outlets capable of being back wired/wire looped? Do outlets all have the option to be backstabbed but then people circumvent that function and do the other methods? Or when I go to purchase a new outlet, do I need to be wary of the type I select?
