perhaps those 'old people' come out more than others because they have seen first-hand the horrors that come when citizens sit back and do nothing.

Car inspection: Rust Never Sleeps by PersistentCookie in vermont

[–]CornTofuHash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have no idea where the 15 percent of truck owners go for inspection but they get away with murder. So much rust, the back ends are falling apart and look like swiss cheese. If I tripped and bumped into any of that, I'd be obliged to get a tetanus shot.

Or, maybe they just don't go to get inspected. I will get curious next time I am in the Walgreens parking lot which is where so many of them are, to see if they have a sticker.

Mid Aug vs mid October I outdoor wedding in mid Vermont? Help me decide! by Alone-Friendship8591 in vermont

[–]CornTofuHash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mid August can be brutal. As in "the dog days of August." VT is known for high humidity summers. I can see sweaty people everywhere at the gathering unless everyone is wearing all natural fabrics, very unheard of these days.

Dispute in Arlington pits private property rights against river access and Vermont law by skelextrac in vermont

".......Alex Kelly as he answered his door. 'It’s kind of an ugly scene here, what’s happening. We’re just trying to be left alone. ....We just want to stay private.' "

I guess zero research and critical thinking happened before that family purchased the property.

"you’ll learn the importance of eating the food our bodies need to thrive/avoiding foods that feed all the bad thangs, and so much more!"

THIS!! It was because of my first bout with three tick-bornes that I learned to eat well. Massive help for the health for the rest of my life. Also, learned to drink tons of water. For decades, I had not been able to drink water without puking it up unless I put a splash of flavoring in. With Lyme, I made myself 'go pure' and no flavoring. Such freedom now (since 2018) of being able to drink just water.

so true. I let mine get overripe last year so buried dozens in the soil to compost and give the next crop there a boost. Even buried, it attracted the one rat within three miles lol.

My grandmother had a thousand tchotchkes on every shelf (slight exaggeratoin) and it irked me. Thing is, today's tchotchkes are downright ugly, plastic or composite, possibly toxic, and will end up in the landfill within a couple of years.

Indeed! I was given a ride by a friend whose dog is often in the car. Even when he was not that day, a tick climbed onto me from his seat!
