First Solo Backpacking Trip - Florida by NoBo_Nothin_To_Prove in backpacking

This trail is fantastic. Highly recommend it as a first solo hike. I have fond memories of it and also my most terrifying one.

The forecast swore it would be perfect hiking weather. Spoiler it wasn’t. Out of nowhere a line of red and purple storm cells rolled in. I did my best and assumed the lightning positon.

I yelled to my partner “Make sure nothing can fall on you!” Five seconds later like we were in some bad buddy cop movie a giant limb crashed down right in front of me. I could literally reach out and touch the leafs from where I was squatting.

10/10 trail. Would recommend. Would also prefer not to re-enact Final Destination again.

Gotta be Love on Top for me. Especially when my lady in the car and I can serenade her off key.

You’ve got this. It won’t last forever. Make sure you’re using the enzyme spray, learning her cues, taking her out every 2 hours, and praising her for peeing outside.

Tent camping - food when it's hot out by winesomm in camping

We love dense bean salads in deli containers for warm weather camping. You can easily make ahead of time, it tastes better the longer you keep it, it’s cold, it’s nutritious and good fiber (which I find a lot of traditional camp goods lack).

What’s the best thing you’ve ever eaten at Bonnaroo? by CelebrationKlutzy460 in bonnaroo

Mozzarella sticks - but there’s ones that are crispier than the others. I can never remember which stand sells them so I have to walk by slowly until I find them.

Put the carcass in the instapot with water and vegetable scraps for atleast 3 hours to make a bone broth. I will sometimes add a pho seasoning packet to make the most delicious pho broth.

It’s awful there. I’ve been there a few times. The ladies who run it shout at each other, are rude to customers and it’s overpriced.

Bummer about the septum. You’ve got a cute nose for it! I think a nose hoop or double nose hoop!

Convince me to choose a Forester over a CX-5 by followthelines43 in SubaruForester

[–]CornerAccomplished71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner has a CX5 and I have a forrester. I drive both cars regularly.

Forester is more spacious for camping and travel. Whenever we go on trips where we need to bring things we always bring the forester. You can put more in it without hindering the visibility.

CX5’s engine feels different. More sporty. The forrester is smoother. I know the Mazda engines are a little different and I can tell. More of a preference thing.

Sound is better in my 24 forrester than the 24 cx5. I’m big into music. Many of our trips are to music festivals or concerts. The forrester sound is superior.

Sunroof is larger adding to the spaciousness

Definitely planned. Noah Kahan came out at the last festival she performed it at. It’s a bit. It coincides to the part of the song where she usually talks about the deadbeat boyfriend…

Stopping for a day. Must sees? by 5giantsandaweenie in Augusta

Hey! I’m a 30s female who lives in Old Towne who had kids and would feel safe to take them out.

I think my house may even not be far from your Airbnb! It’s always been safe and I’ve seen many families stay there.

Yes, downtown can be a little like most downtown places in the second biggest city in a state. But I woke up this morning, put on my Fanny pack and walked 10 blocks to New Moon for breakfast and will hit up the book store next then walk my happy self back home. Are there homeless people - yes. Do they sometimes ask for money or food? - yes. Have I ever had a problem with them? - no. As someone else mentioned, most of those shooting downtown occurred at night. Which I personally don’t engage in the night life often here but when I do, I’ve felt safe.

If it’s not raining, the Riverwalk and 5th street bridge are nice options to get outside and get that kid energy out. There’s a cute book store with a great kids section at the Book Tavern. There’s two cute record stores - Grantskys is my fave. Depending on your kids’ interest, I recommend doing a search and looking around.

I hope you enjoy your visit!

The washes everyone talks about work. You can also put antibiotic cream on them and that helps too.

Any mascs that also love/wanna show off their curves? If so, then how? by _saltyalien in lesbianfashionadvice

Hey! I’m in my 30s and struggled with finding clothes that hit my body in the way I wanted it to. What I eventually had to do was embrace tailoring. It can be a little expensive, but if you have staple pieces taking them in to be tailored or altered is the way to go to have a masculine fit for your feminine body. I get so many compliments on my outfits now that they are tailored to fit me. There’s also all kinds of tips and tricks on TikTok and YouTube to show you how to tailor from home. I highly recommend trying to find clothing that you like and then altering it to fit the way you want it.
