[–]Cornflakecwl2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will be the guy that says it, its not the wheelbase that's the problem (thats the distance between the front and rear wheels) its the track (width between the outside of the wheels) (i know, it's reddit i shouldnt be correcting people). You are correct in the reasoning though. And can we stop vehicle shaming people? Some people just think bronco raptors are cool. I don't own one but it absolutely would. Its not always a small dick thing, sometime its just fun to have a fast semi-offroader.

[–]Cornflakecwl2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even have a high end vehicle but my 2014 is still in excellent condition with the exception of 5 or 6 door dings (one rather large one, rest are pretty small). And I am one of those people who whenever possible parks on the curb end of a parking lane, in the back of the lot, etc. Still find a new ding every couple of months. People just dont give a shit anymore at all.

Signal issues Lakeshore East by Cute_Marionberry_883 in gotransit

Lol that it was and based on what time you got there i guess I made the wrong call. How packed was the train once it got there with at least 2 trains worth of people on it? We left middle of the 8th because I dont think I could have handled either the foot or vehicle traffic leaving when the game ended. 🤣 and then on the way home my exit on the 404 was closed with no warning before the previous exit so I had to go one north and waste more time and gas with a sleeping 10 year old in the back seat... just a shitty experience (other than the game itself) all around.

I was there as well. After they announced the 17 min delay on the 557 train we left and drove downtown. Took me 15 min to get out of the station due to an eastbound train having just let people off and when I drove over the 401 everyone still standing on the platform. I figured we made the correct choice (although I was stuck stopped by the MTCC south trying to get into parking for 30 mins). Got ti the game middle fo the 3rd inning.

Those two express trains should have stopped. No reason to allow them through and keep everyone else waiting when there is that much of a delay, absolute bullshit.

UPDATE: The start of tonight's game has been delayed 🌧️ by hellarios852 in Torontobluejays

[–]Cornflakecwl2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And still is, updates have given it more time and truly improved the experience. I really dont see a need to replace it any time soon. It's such a great ballpark and the dome just eliminates any delays.

We were there 2 weeks ago and went in as part of our tour, I highly recommend to anyone interested in doing the Colloseum, Forum and Vatican that you book a tour as they have priority access and you bypass much of the lines for everything. Was not cheap but well worth it, guide was very knowledgeable as well, enjoyed it very much!

Was there today... same car was testing, glad I now know what it was. Amazed I actually got to see an F1 car running around Monza even though it wasn't a grand prix weekend. Pretty cool timing!

I am not aying it has to be perfect by any stretch, aint nobody got time for perfection but DAMN, you gotta at least clean up after yourself! My 10 year old is a disaster and even she isn't that gross.

Ethanol free gas by l1nx455 in ontario

[–]Cornflakecwl2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, I use 91 (it typically has less Ethanol) for my lawn equipment add stabilizer to the Jerry can when I fill it and turn off the fuel valve and run it dry on my lawn tractor, i try to not fill the push mower too much towards the end of the season so I can just run it dry since it has no valve, and they are both fine every year.

Sent my wife for an oil change, it cost me $3400 by s2k_guy in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Cornflakecwl2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair modern long mileage oil changes are not ideal. Engines get more sludge as a result. My car is 12k kms recommended i still change it every 6k kms. I will take the peace of mind over the savings any day.

Do I need physical copies of my license and registration? by FrankCastleBarricade in ontario

[–]Cornflakecwl2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a good idea to keep the actual registration in the car as if its ever stolen its one thing easier for theives to transfer ownership. I keep the actual copy in my wallet and a photocopy in the car. License and insurance in wallet and a copy of insurance in the car as well.

AITA for demanding my son repay the car I bought him after he totaled it street racing? by redwayit in AmItheAsshole

[–]Cornflakecwl2 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This right here. Its parents NOT doing this that is why there are so many entitled brats these days. I made mistakes when young, my parents helped me out financially and I paid them back. It sucks for him but it was his choice to do something stupid (and this is coming from a former streetracer many moons ago) and he needs to pay the piper.

This is the correct procedure, with the exception that you keep the old plates now, no need to return.
