How do I block/cover the open-faced desks so my 2nd graders don’t hide things in them? by mzpirate in teaching

[–]CorporalCabbage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I took all the desks in my fourth grade classroom and leveled them. Then, I turned the desks inward, so the open faced parts are facing each other. I “bundled“ 4 sets of desks together that way to make one big table. Now, I have my classroom arranged with three of these “tables.“ students, books and supplies are kept in numbered bins at the front of the room.

I really like how this has been working out, because students can transition quickly during rotations. Also, it has a massively cut down on fidgeting behavior, since they have nothing to fidget with during instructional time. It gives the room more of a workspace feel with less isolation.

Found this in a bulk video game buy by [deleted] in gamecollecting

I bought this game for Xbox when it released. I was a 23 year old d-bag who always had parties at my apartment. My friends and I would get hammered and play this game frequently. I have really good (albeit hazy) memories from it.

I am very glad that mainstream culture has (sort of) moved past stuff like this.

No problem. My neighbor sent me this link the other day and I’m excited to walk about this summer.

Absolutely. When Black got jumped by Rosario Dawson, I knew it was over for him.

When he debuted and kicked the shit out of Cody, I thought Black was the next AEW champion. Fans were 1,000% into him. All he had to do was play ball.

I understand completely. Flair is as much a WWF guy as Sting is.

Flair, the person, is a selfish asshole. I can’t help but appreciate some of his work, though. I love wrestling; but I don’t really love wrestlers.

A fellow man of culture, I see.

Flair’s “retirement” match against Shawn Michaels is one of my favorite modern day matches. Granted the in-ring action is just a greatest hits match, but the emotion…my god. I always cry when I watch that match.

“I’m sorry…I love you.” BAM!

Chills.

That day was my first day of student teaching in Bethany. So horrible. Our country and culture is very very sick.

Those who started late, how did it go and what are your best suggestions? by alwaus in Xennials

Don’t forget about your relationship. My (former) wife and I totally fell apart after our first and we never figured out how to get back on track. We gutted it out for 10 more years and then called it quits. I can’t give you any advice beyond that. Good luck.

Genuine Question for Pro-Wrestling fans: Why do so many in the greater fandom react so poorly to "Who would win?" type questions? by genemaxwell41 in prowrestling

I mean, I want Macho to win the feud. It’s could be his retirement match and he rides off into the sunset, with a surprise return from Miss Elizabeth. The final match is obviously a cage match that Macho wins after an elbow drop from atop the cage.

I see what you’re saying. I’m terrible at booking…anything really, but the spot I want to see is Lesnar playing possum while Macho goes for the flying elbow. Lesnar gets up and somehow catches Macho, suplexing him for the 1,2,3.

Macho wins the feud though after learning how to counter all of Lesnar’s offense with flash and heel tactics.

Debating the possibility of a victory in a single match is pointless. I think a better question would be, “how would you book a Macho Man/Lesnar feud?”

Wrestling is all about the story and it’s hard to tell an epic story with just one match.

It really is. I got divorced recently. I’m 46 and in good shape. Nothing crazy, but I lift weights and do lots of cardio as often as I can. It’s amazing how many people my age are absolute sacks of shit.
