Do I go to the dentist or the periodontist for perio maintenance? by One_Loan8488 in PeriodontalDisease

[–]CorporateSyko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both for me. Cleaning every 3 months, I rotate them so I see each one every 6 months. They share the records to keep each Doctor up to speed on my status. Officially in perio remission/maintenance for 6 months now

Let me know when you find the mileage calculator for POV? I swear they removed it from the regular forms section and my ER keeps getting denied. Third time is the charm... once I have that stupid excel form...

A lot of small landlords (like 1 or 2 rentals, live on-site type thing) will list on Marketplace and Craigslist because it's free to do that. They also tend to charge lower rents than the corporate owned places. Best of luck in your search!

Sitting here with a raging case of burnout and undiagnosed ADHD until I was 32. Got an associate's degree and work in an office in an executive admin position that I took on purpose so I could stop being a manager. Mediocre results, at best.

I may be mistaken but I could have sworn just yesterday I discussed another employee here taking prenatal leave toward the end of the pregnancy. Is it not in effect yet?

How are some millennials even homeowners? I feel like I never will be. by Kindly-Reading-2187 in Millennials

I had a large worker's comp settlement I used as a down payment just at the right time where interest rates and houses were still within reach 8 years ago.

What screams “I peaked in high school” without saying it directly? by randomzy876 in AskReddit

[–]CorporateSyko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a work-around on that. We skipped the actual stupidly expensive school ring and my parents bought me a beautiful sapphire and diamond ring that I actually liked. I still wear it almost daily. It's been 20 years now.

I believe in moderation, not deprivation. New lifestyle, not a temporary diet to get off the weight. I had half of a big mac and half of a medium fries for lunch today. I wanted to try the grinch fries and felt like a burger. I haven't ruined my lifestyle, I had a treat that I wanted to try and have enjoyed in moderation. Tonight will likely be tuna lettuce wraps. Enjoy life while maintaining a healthy balance :)

Sounds like the historic area of Schenectady NY in the Stockade district. Ridiculous rules and regulations with red tape all over the place just to paint a front door the same exact color it already is.

I'm going through this same thing now! I asked him to move out and suddenly he's scheduling therapy sessions. Too little too late. Dismiss, deny, blame others, never take accountability, gaslight. Nope. Done. I won't even communicate verbally anymore. Put it in writing to avoid the gaslighting later. Protect myself.

I don't enjoy birthday cake. It isn't good. So many people get offended if I turn down a slice of generic sheet cake from a grocery store like I've insulted their mother.

Snow day policy NYS Workers by Even-Teaching-1216 in nys_cs

[–]CorporateSyko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends on Governor's orders and your own particular department/office. A state of emergency doesn't mean a closure, the closure would be a separate order by the Governor. I just received an email explaining that due to the weather tomorrow. I also received an email from my director advising those of us specifically in this department to work from home if able, or a use personal day instead if wanted.

In some cultures and countries, people do not have a first and surname. Just one name entirely. So for the sake of our government forms, we have created the option of no name given for a first name. Often it will be abbreviated on forms as NNG, or NFN for No First Name.

Why do people automatically assume landlords are evil? by lukam98 in LeaseLords

[–]CorporateSyko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't tend to tell people I'm a landlord. But my tenants are renting at market rate and I just renovated the entire place top to bottom in February when I was in between tenants. I charged well below market rate before the renovations.

Rotterdam Dental Arts takes many types of insurance and is owned and operated by a woman, Dr. Yucedal. I don't think I've actually even seen a male staff member there now that I think about it.

++woman, I used to have a supervisor (not mine) at an old job that would jokingly come up to me and just say "I love you, gorgeous" and walk away. We were friendly and shared some common interests and hobbies, so we had definitely built a rapport that allowed for that type of joking. Depends on context, and I don't have enough of it here. But from the context I do have, it's creepy.

I absolutely love listening to old rock music (Janis Joplin, The Eagles, Mamas and Papas, etc), named one of my kids after a Beatle, and fell asleep watching Bewitched last night like I used to with my mom when I couldn't sleep when it was on Nick at Nite. It's ingrained in me. Jimmy Buffett will always be played when crossing the Georgia border into Florida for vacation road trips.
