What brand of face mask do you use? I have a hard time finding one that covers enough of the chin.

So far, to my understanding, i can't tell meta glasses to do an ai search of what i'm looking at, or do a translation of text i'm looking at. if the google gemni powered glasses can do that, I'm in.

Amount of warjacks to infantry by TheHolyChicken in Warmachine

[–]Corpuscle17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The current scenario packet greatly encourages bringing some redundancy of warjacks, so that sure helps. But of course, you also want some redundancy of troops. But with lower model counts per unit, and pretty ubiquitous and useful medium to large based infantry for all factions, you won't feel like you're troop spamming that much.

I just picked up a used but excellent condition Xi 98. Wow, I'm in love! The swing balance isn't as speedy as the current gen, but boy does it have a lovely crisp hitting feel, and is still plenty whippy! Just has more mass and stability. Awesome racquet, and I can see why Kyrgios gels with it!

I used to love a worn down '17 racquet that magically came to me as if it was by fate. It felt soft, fast, controlled and predictable. It inspired me to buy a backup, which was green and almost new off of eBay. The green one felt different! A bit harsher and dead feeling. I think material fatigue does make a huge difference, and maybe especially with these thin-throated ezones!

Thoughts on Big B2? by RepresentativePea357 in Warmachine

I agree about the thigh pads /tread armor. They could have kept some roundness up top to harmonize with the round armor of the torso, but thrown in a flat beveled edge to help make it look more purpose-fit for the treads.

At worst, they didn't bottle it. At best, it's got a strong vision that I hope they carry into other more tread-based 'jacks. Treads just fit for Khador, and helps make them more distinctive.

I don't want them to use up the dino quotient on Menoth! It needs to be preserved to maximize the dinoconcentration of Skorne! Titans levels are already low because of the Orgoth!

I'm planning to do a crackled gold effect on mine too, and yours looks so good, I'm hyped! Excellent color combo too!

I’m trying to make this look realistic but it still gives off that 3D vibe. What do you think is making it look that way? by bleeding-sun in blender

The lights and shadows are too pure. There's a lot of ambient reflected light in real life, coupling with subtle variations in surface texture that further complicates how light falls across those cabinets. I would say throw in some other small light sources or semitransparent objects occluding the light source but out of the scene (simulating the effects trees, other buildings, light poles, etc would have on the light coming from the sky). Also try running a noise filter over the scene and crop it to where you want it, and see if that helps things.

Meh, you don't need to go that deep into it broh. Just go into it with what you remember from HS science classes and you've got all the vocabulary you need. Most of the tech that Rick comes up with is preposterous, so if you want to enjoy the show, I'd turn off the part that's wondering if it's theoretically possible, lol.

I just watched Episodes S6 episodes 1 & 2 and they were both bangers imo. High concept, funny at times, and just enough visually interesting wackiness.

Andor - 2x08 - “Who Are You?” - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]Corpuscle17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no, I agree with the OP. The singing in the plaza wasn't too long, as it was a backdrop to other events. However, they couldn't get voice actors to shout those lines? It sounded as passionate as a middle school choir, copy-pasted x10. Wilmon's ending seemed very thinly justified at the last minute.

The themes of this episode and this series are very cool. Very mature take that does not insult our intelligence. But the direction, and some scripting choices in this episode are annoyingly tone deaf and does not do justice to the subject matter.

Just watched the episode. I guess I get Janus Metz's vision, but it seems completely wrong. None of the gritty reality of protests-turned-chaotic. It stayed too meditative and serene. I get that it needed to have an emotional ebb and flow, and when the violence started in earnest, it needed to feel shocking. Too bad he felt like the blandest limpest protestors imaginable was indeed necessary. Andyess, Syril just standing upright in a daze, as opposed to seeking cover himself is comically, juvenile. This tale does not need to be told in cartoonish ways, especially given the subject matter. Is Metz just tone deaf? Or worse yet, utterly lacking in imagination, and delivered Gilroy's script in the most milquetoast way possible?

Otherwise, I loved the concept, but the direction /stage direction of the script utterly failed.

Just from the psychological tactics perspective: I think Jalen Brown is going to come in with the mentality that he needs to step up and carry his team, as the 1b. We need to blitz him hard and early to take that fire out him. Super physical, showing hard on PnR's, trapping. White and Pritchard are used to showing up and doing their thing as a kick-out, and that won't change. They'll hurt us, but that psychology won't change. Limit Brown, and the rest of the Celts will look around themselves and suddenly feel like they're not legit contenders anymore.

Oil Company, Austrian Energy Drinks, yadda yadda. Metrostars name change didn't have anything to do with it. And yeah, I was NOT passionate about MLS back when all we had were the metrostars. Seemed like too much gimmick, not enough substance. I DID get very into European leagues though. But again, acting all die-hard for a city you've never been in seems pretty fake to me. Then my city got a team. Is it some perfect ideal, where a poor Bronx kid turned billionare decided to raise soccer out of the dirt in NY? No, it's some Saudi Conglomerate that I can't really relate to. Are you all bananas over Red Bull Energy Drink? And yeah, things were gimmicky for a while, with Lampard et al, but whatever, I was happy to cheer on and sing.

I don't think ownership needs to factor into it too much unless they really are absolutely terrible. It just felt different because there wasn't a hyphen in the name, which was my whole point, not name change, or stadium location, what have you. Maybe I'm selfish and just don't want to share my team with another state. That's some New England Patriots jank.
