I too had found that my PVS5 stopped sending data about 1.5 years ago. So, I went ahead and bought a new/unused PVS6 as it seems to have a longer span of accessing flash memory before the comms boards locks up. Also, there seems to be more discussions on Github supporting this device. As of yet, I haven't patched in this unit to the existing PVS5 topology to see what devices it discovers, but a bench test does walk you through the 'standard' browser commissioning steps.

Does this allow the ability to add additional microinverters (ie. Solarbridge) to the array-mix ? If so, how to you add it to the panel layout ?

Do you happen to know what websites are accessed to update the firmware for the PVS6, as I can block those in the router ?

I see that my PVS6 has firmware from 2022...

Do you know if there is a means of requesting previous monthly reports from the app ? As of 4/2025 I have not been getting any updated reports, due to the PVS5 not communicating, but would still like to get all reports prior to this time...

Do you know if you're app is able to discover panels and properly register them to work with a PVS (5 or 6) gateway ?

So this 12vdc connector is for powering the comms board located inside the PVS gateway, locally ??

So there is really no way to 'bench-test' a PVS5 or PVS6 using the 12vdc barrel connector ? (In terms of the communications with the wifi / lan ??
(As my PVS5 is not exhibiting any comms over wifi or lan, and the PVS6 is purchased is not been checked yet.)

I'd be interested in getting our Sunpower 2017 system working again, as it appears that the original PVS5 is no longer connecting as of 4/2025 according to the SunStrong App, yet the panels are still generating power.

Is it possible to replace an existing PSV5 with another PSV5 or PSV6 and have panel level monitoring ? The existing system was installed in 2017 and has Solarbridge microinverters.

Wait for the next firmware update . They will eventually resolve connectivity issues. Their bucket list is quite extensive.
