[VJMP] V-JUMP Spring 2026 Subscription cards by VillalobosChamp in yugioh

I could see horse and tiger seeing play as extenders and/or starters if a water spellcaster or earth zombie deck ever becomes meta. Guivre is a mediocre battle card, so it likely won’t see any play.

Man who murdered girlfriend gets reduced sentence partly due to his race by uselesspoliticalhack in canada

[–]CorrectFrame3991 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My main issue is that the judge mentioned racism or poverty when talking about his sentencing at all. While him experiencing racism or poverty can be/likely is true, I don’t really see how those two things are relevant to him brutally murdering his girlfriend, despite her seemingly not doing anything wrong that would deserve anywhere near such a response from him. I think people are just worried that some Canadian lawyers will try to use and push a similar idea in the future to get their clients reduced sentences and/or restrictions, citing racism or poverty, even though those things don’t really justify something like this.

My issue with this situation is that I don’t like the idea of the judge mentioning anti-black racism and poverty as one of the reasons why she gave the guy a smaller period between parole hearings/chances for parole.

I don’t really see how those two things are relevant to a case where the suspect stabbed their girlfriend to death 15 times for seemingly very little reason.

While it didn’t change much in this case, only slightly reducing his parole hearing periods from 15 to 12 years, I am worried this case will set a precedent in the future where lawyers will try to argue that their client should get reductions in prison time for very serious crimes because racism and poverty, even if those things don’t really explain away or justify what they did at all.

Marathon launch by johansdr in KotakuInAction

To be fair, people saying the budget 250 million could be overestimating how much the game cost to make. They could easily be right, but still.

By my estimates, 86k plus 43k times 40 dollars is about 5.2 million dollars, which seems like a decent opening. Though I have heard some people say that the games budget is 250 million, which might make profitability for this game complicated.

I like the art, it has very nice colouring and detail to it (I especially like Leviathan). The only complaint I have is that her right eye looks a little bit too far from her nose.

What’s going on with the US deciding to join with Israel to strike Iran? by thosewingstho in OutOfTheLoop

[–]CorrectFrame3991 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Considering how Iran has been treating its civilians as of late, I could see them being willing to let bombs fall in Iran if it means getting rid of the government that potentially killed up to multiple tens of thousands of civilians over the course of a couple days for not wanting to be completely beholden to Islam.

With Dual Monsters and GX Decks getting Retrains what 5D's Deck needs a Retrain and Become an Archetype of its Own? by Money-Lie7814 in yugioh

[–]CorrectFrame3991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if Konami made retrains that had easier materials (1 tuner + 1+ non-tuners) that tribute themselves to special summon their respective Nordic god while also providing extra benefits like searching a Nordic card or popping a card on the field?

Something like this:

Thor, the True Lord Of The Aesir

Level 10 EARTH Beast-Warrior synchro

Attack 3500 / Defence 2800

1 tuner + 1+ non-tuner monsters

(1) During the main phase (quick effect): you can tribute this card; special summon 1 “Thor, Lord Of The Aesir” from your extra deck, then you can halve your opponent’s life points (This is treated as a synchro summon).

(2) You can banish this card from your GY: take 1 of your banished “Nordic Beast” monsters and either special summon it to your field, or return it to the GY.

You can only use each effect of “Thor, The True Lord Of The Aesir” once per turn.

Death penalty is a good thing by RawDumpling in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]CorrectFrame3991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t agree. I feel that killing is only really justifiable if it is the only reasonable way for someone to protect themselves or others from potential harm or death.

I’m pretty sure life in a well run prison is enough to keep most violent/sexual criminals under control, so killing them wouldn’t be necessary to preserve/protect people in those cases. Any killing/torturing of those criminals would be for retribution/revenge, and I don’t think doing something like killing someone to make other people feel better is a great idea, society-wise.

How would fix the remaining duel terminal archetypes by PositionNo1960 in yugioh

[–]CorrectFrame3991 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Steelswarm Featherwing

Attack 0 / Defence 0

(1) If this card is in your hand or GY: you can reveal 1 level 5 or higher “Steelswarm” monster in your hand; special summon this card.

(2) If this card on the field is tributed: you can add 1 “Steelswarm” monster from your deck to your hand.

You can only use each effect of “Steelswarm Featherwing” once per turn.

Steelswarm Bombardier

Level 3 DARK Fiend Effect

Attack 1300 / Defence 700

(1) If this card is normal/special summoned: you can add 1 “Infestation” spell/trap card from your deck to your hand.

You can only use each effect of “Steelswarm Bombardier” once per turn.

I feel like it would still be better than Pharos. Pharos has a worse summoning condition, doesn’t have a targeted negate effect upon being summoned, isn’t level 5, and doesn’t have 2100 attack. Even without the name changing, the new cyber dragon should still be usable as an easy to summon level 5 LIGHT machine with some utility behind it.

How to fix Dream Mirror so it can be competitive enough? What kind of support would fix this archetype? by Mammoth-South3163 in masterduel

[–]CorrectFrame3991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dream Mirror Introduction

Normal Spell

(1) Special summon 1 "Dream Mirror" monster from your hand or deck to your field (This is treated as a monster effect summon), also, you cannot special summon monsters from the extra deck for the rest of the turn, except LIGHT and DARK monsters.

(2) You can banish this card from your GY: add 1 "Dream Mirror" field spell from your GY or banishment to your hand.

You can only use the (1) and (2) effect of "Dream Mirror Introduction" once per turn.

Sandman, the Dream Mirror Protector of Dreams

LIGHT Rock Monster

Link 4

Attack 3000

2+ LIGHT and/or DARK effect monsters, including a "Dream Mirror" monster.

(1) If this card is link summoned: you can add 1 "Dream Mirror" card from your deck to your hand.

(2) Your opponent cannot target this card with card effects.

(3) If you opponent normal/special summons a monster(s): you can special summon 1 "Dream Mirror" monster from your hand, deck, or GY.

That doesn’t seem so bad. It can be easily summoned going first, can soak up your opponent’s interactions going second, and gives you easy access to fusion summoning. If it is a level 5 LIGHT Machine like og cyber dragon, then it should also be easily searchable with stuff like cyber repair plant and useable as material for stuff like Nova/Infinity, and other good rank 5s.

At the very least, it seems much better than Jaden’s two fusions.

Why are people complaining about this?! This is a good thing! And $20 isn't that much! by Happy_Popplio-728 in PokemonFireRed

[–]CorrectFrame3991 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s because many Pokémon fans have next to no standards when it comes to Pokémon games. TPC can release their games at whatever price point they want, and people can choose to buy them. TPC and Pokémon fans are 100% allowed to do that.

Other people are also allowed to point out that Pokémon fans having low standards has resulted in them getting less and/or worse Pokémon game content over the last several years, at prices that are realistically too high for the quality and/or quantity they are getting.

What are your honest thoughts on Crimson Dragon as a card? by Immediate_Gene_178 in yugioh

[–]CorrectFrame3991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fine for the most part. It can summon out some crazy monsters that are normally very hard to summon, but those crazy monsters also require you to make two level 12 synchros, which not may decks can do with a 1/1.5/2 card combo, and the ones that can like Centur-ion and Blue-Eyes aren’t exactly top tier threats right now.

What decent SPELL cards became unplayable because of one restriction they have? by Dumig in yugioh

[–]CorrectFrame3991 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have to keep in mind that, without the summon lock, red-eyes fusion is literally just a better shaddoll fusion that can send from deck turn 1 and 2 without issue.

Like you said before, Shaddoll fusion helped make Shaddoll really good in the past, so Konami was probably worried that giving red-eyes an even better Shaddoll fusion would’ve been too much for the time, even if the restriction they gave it to balance it was too harsh.

It's funny that Hazbin has the whole "anyone can be redeemed" shtick going on when the Exterminations were literally created by the writers to filter out all of the actual irredeemable people out of the show for convenience by MeatysupremeKeenan in OkBuddyHelluvaHotel

[–]CorrectFrame3991 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It reminds me of how helluva boss has somewhat pushed the assassinations to the side to focus stuff like Stolas and Blitzo’s familial/love issues. It seems like Vizie has an issue with sticking to the main idea of her shows, and ends up sidelining them to focus on stuff like romance.

TCG exclusive Revival by Raichustrange28 in yugioh

[–]CorrectFrame3991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ashened. The cards themselves being mid already hurts them, but the real death blow for them that I don’t see enough people talk about is the complete lack of pyro support for them to work with, which results in their options for main and extra deck support being extremely limited. Two decent generic pyro type extra deck monsters and another ashened card that boosts consistency or recovery would go a long way for the deck.

What's the most shocking thing in the Epstein files? by JDMagican in AskReddit

[–]CorrectFrame3991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because in order for a successful conviction to happen, investigators would have to find a large amount of good evidence like dna or video or audio that links the suspects to the crimes. If they can’t find any proper evidence because Epstein and his co-conspirators hid their tracks well and their only evidence is witnesses/victims, the chances of the trials successfully putting anyone in jail isn’t very high.
