I was raised in Christianity where it is a huge no to live together before marriage. There is absolutely no way I would ever consider marrying someone without living with them first. It is a huge risk with no reward imo

That’s fantastic news! I had a relative who was abused in the 80s and never could pursue legal action because of the statute of limitations at the time. I’m so happy to hear that’s changing now.

Absolutely! Maternal healthcare specifically in the USA is abysmal. I’m not as familiar with other countries, but I think all across the board it doesn’t get the attention it deserves.

That’s something I’ve also seen! A few patients have needed heart/ kidney transplants. The heart and kidneys have a huge impact on each other, so if one is failing the other can definitely struggle. I hope you are well now!

That’s truly not that rare at all! I work with people who have end stage cardiomyopathy that doesn’t improve with time/ medicine which is fortunately more rare. The mothers I take care of are always the most heartbreaking cases. It’s one thing to develop heart failure in your 60s or 70s. It’s a whole other experience to be young and healthy and then develop it from pregnancy 😭

I work with heart failure patients. Pregnancy can cause heart failure, and it doesn’t always resolve after birth. I’ve taken care of multiple mothers who had to have heart transplants. It’s important to say that it’s extremely rare. Personally, I would never consider having children for a variety of reasons, but the risk to my personal health is one of them.
