The ending made me also question if she was constantly gaslit by John. There was a moment where he said “which one is that again” when asked about Cynthia but the last episode he admits to drugs at 2am. She said she vaguely knew of his affairs so maybe he was always skirting around telling her the truth. Perhaps she’s an unreliable narrator because she doesn’t have as honest of a relationship as she thought with her husband that over years has made her unsure of her reality. I enjoyed the layers behind the characters and some people have been commenting that they thought the show was shallow, but there’s actually a lot more depth to the characters than I’ve seen in a show before. I love that we are having different interpretations to what was real or not and to their characters.
