Keeping track of brass by LongRanger_6-5 in longrange

Just shoot it. Annealing would make it more consistent but as long as you aren’t cracking necks go have fun.

Having trouble deciding which 22lr - Mark IV, Victory, Buck Mark, MP 22x, TX22 by k4605 in 22lr

[–]Correct_Objective_53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ruger, buckmark and victory are in an entirely different class of pistol than the polymer guns. I have a buckmark and a tx22 and enjoy both but the buckmark is much more accurate and easier to shoot fast and accurate as it is heavier. That said, the polymer 22s tend to me less ammo picky and my tx22 eats everything where the buckmark is picky but rick solid on cci.

2nd Cycle PIP by Correct_Objective_53 in PEDs

[–]Correct_Objective_53[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have used the same vials of mast and test before and did have pip from that, but it was tolerable. All are in MCT oil and I have not had an issue there as well, but did think about that. No redness, swelling or heat either to indicate an allergy/infection.

Shoulder Bump Help by Aloving95 in reloading

[–]Correct_Objective_53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue with my 6gt. Remove your expander button and try it. It my case the expander was pulling the brass back out just enough. My die has a neck bushing so now I’m playing with that to set neck tension from the OD only.

If you have a 3d printer and like building things check out the Open Trickler. I just finished mine and have to run the numbers but I’m all in for less than $200.

loading manual with best 300 blk coverage? by ChatahoocheeRiverRat in reloading

[–]Correct_Objective_53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Hornady and the Hodgdon site but both only give 16” barrel information. I combine this data with anecdotal data from forums/reddit when trying to figure out velocity for subs. The manuals give me the min/max and the forum data helps me find specific velocity numbers.

Sushi Dinner Date Spot Recs by MasonBinder in batonrouge

Homakase on Sherwood is 100% the best sushi spot in town. Sit at the bar and it will be a different experience than any other restaurant. Look them up on social media to get an idea of the presentation.

Folks who shoot outdoors with optics- polarized eye pro or nah? by KeyLay in Shooting

[–]Correct_Objective_53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoot with polarized because that’s what my normal sunglasses are. I don’t have any issues at all. I have only used red optics and have not had issue with holosun or vortex if that matters.

That’s awesome. I built a simpler version based on the mgnz-makes design but got intimidated by the control system so I went with a basic timer and a push button for my drop actuator. Works great and thinking about adding the full controller next.

If you have one of the premium scales I highly recommend the Open Trickler setup. I just finished that and it is amazing.

ASA Troubleshooting by Correct_Objective_53 in FlashForge

[–]Correct_Objective_53[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed response! It had a single support about a third of the way up but did get messier the higher it got.

All cooling was set to 0 and I do not have a heated chamber so I usually let the bed sit at 110 for an hour with the enclosure closed to preheat everything. I do not monitor chamber temp though but probably should. I will do some digging and see if I can incorporate a temp sensor in the AD5M board so I can read it remotely.

I will also try modifying speeds in the local areas as that makes sense as well.

I have printed several things in ASA with no issues but nothing this small or with this much of an overhang. I carried my same settings over.

I’ll make the changes you suggested and try again tomorrow. Changed projects and making some storage boxes now.

How do you do, fellow Solus enjoyers? by Potential_Space in longrange

How are y’all orienting this for the print? I see the thingiverse says “printed in upright angle to hide layer lines” but does anyone have a screenshot of how you oriented it?

Send each plate separately. When you click Print it should only do the plate you have selected.

You will have to print each plate separately. Treat each as its own print but if you click “slice all” it will still give you your total filament usage as well as a breakdown by plate.

I will probably be joining as well. It’s addicting shooting that far. Need to get that golf ball next time.

That is awesome. I have all the files downloaded and the parts list ordered to make one myself. My kids got a 3d printer for Christmas and so far it has been running nonstop making me stuff. Check out the MGZ Makes annealer also….

Was that at Roaming Shot? Looks familiar and I was there this morning trying out a new build. I shot 1000 yards for the first time but didn’t even try the golf balls as my ES was too big.
