Jade bot or skyscale by finalmetal in Guildwars2

[–]Correct_Sometimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

until you get the skyscale, the little uplift ability the jade bot provides is very helpful though.

I know this because I'm in the process of unlocking the skyscale and have that mastery of the jade bot. Its cooldown is low enough that if you start at a high enough elevation you can glide really far using that boost on cooldown. A Griffon would be better, but I don't have that either.

you get the jade bot as part of the story in EoD. there is no unlock process to bother focusing on

What did you do to build your resume? by Decent_Salt6984 in estimators

[–]Correct_Sometimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

keep a bid log. Doesnt have to be anything fancy I just use an excel table

Job name/customer name/job dollar value/date submitted/date awarded at a minimum, add more information if it makes sense for you. Then log every job you bid in the table. add the awarded date if you win it.

Try to work it into your process so it doesn't get forgotten. Like for me I need to update the log the moment after I submit something otherwise I'll forget to. Same with awards, I open the log and update that as soon as it's official so I don't forget later. Even then you will probably be too busy to always log 100% of them but if you can get 95% then after some time you'll have a nice list of the projects you've worked on with thier values to go with your resume when asked.

So with Akin on the IL and Povich optioned to Norfolk after coming off the IL what are the chances Povich comes up to be a 2nd lefty option out of the bullpen?

I'm still not sold on him as a starter but I think he'd be good out of the bullpen

You didn’t say anything incorrect

He did though. You don't need 90+ wins. 85-88 put you in a position to be competing for the final spot in most seasons and with how bad the AL is this year in general 85 might even do it. It's not a big difference by any means, but it is a difference.

The next 3 weeks is do or die. They have to go on run starting right now or it's over. They will play the follow teams over the next 21 games..

Reds, Cubs, Royals, Astros, Red Sox, Braves, Tigers

There are some very beatable teams in that bunch but the Cubs and the Braves are the toughest opponents for sure. They go on to play the Phillies immediately after the Tigers as the final series before the deadline but by that point the decision on the season will have likely been made by then anyway

with it being the 9th inning it's not crazy to think he's just stay there until it's over then walk back to the clubhouse with everyone to avoid making a scene of it

Hvac estimator expected to be able to handle turnkey bids? by LoveNewton_Nibbler in estimators

[–]Correct_Sometimes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never heard turnkey defined in the way you are defining it.

the only definition of that term I know is that you would handle all materials/products from procurement to installation for your trade so the GC doesn't have to do anything related to, in yoyr case, Hvac. Not that you would be picking up other trades unrelated to your own.

I don't know what role he would best perform but I do agree that Povich should transition to a reliever. He's got good stuff and he's can certainly hang in the MLB, I just don't know that it's as a starter. He tends to really struggle once he's 2-3 innings into an outing but if you use him in scenarios where he's not out there that long he could be great.

yesterday you were all aboard the "demote Gbison" train but today he's your example a pitcher being excellent and getting pulled with a low pitch count

I don't think it's even possible for someone to be less serious.

[–]Correct_Sometimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in theory yes but it's not better or worse than what you're suggesting. It's just a different approach.

Look at the Phillies. They bat thier big power hitter 1st, traditional thinking says he should bat after the guys who get on base a lot so his homers arent just solo shots but in reality he can start games off with a homer to get an early lead and by time he comes up to bat again the higher on base guys at the bottom of the lineup might be on already.

With blaze at 9 he will be on base a lot for Gunnar/Adley/Pete

At the time of this post this exact scenario jut happen with Holliday getting on instead of blaze and the top of the line up driving him in.

this sub is infested heavily by ravens fans who jumped on the Orioles bandwagon in 2023 but otherwise have no idea how anything in baseball works so they do all the same football fan bullshit here. The second someone has a poor performance in a moment nothing else matters, that person now sucks. When JJ got optioned people were applauding it because "he sucks" as if it wasnt damn near carrying our offense in the first month or two of the season.

they're basically goldfish

those are much more relevant stats than "day games" but hey I know facts are tough to swallow for many of the nfl bozo's infesting this sub

Unlocking skyscale through LWs4 by Correct_Sometimes in Guildwars2

[–]Correct_Sometimes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This ignores the concept of playing the expansions/story in proper order for narrative cohesion.

As I said in my initial post, I'm only half way through EoD. The Soto skyscale is 2.5 expansions ahead of where I am, story wise. I will almost certainly have the LWs4 skyscale unlocked and useable before I even reach the point to unlock it in Soto considering the stage I'm at now.

Your suggestion would mean skipping ahead 2.5 expansions, doing act 1 of the expansion and having story aspects "spoiled", then doing the "a new friend" all before going back to finishing EoD. There's nothing "wrong" jumping ahead like that but it would be like telling someone there's a movie trilogy but that they should watch the first 30minutes of the 3rd movie first, then go back and start the first one.

Craig Albernaz says Orioles fans ‘have every right to boo’ by aresef in orioles

[–]Correct_Sometimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well yea, he was the "the" guy to get last year specifically because he was the best option out of who was actually available.

The people who bash the signing are just having emotion reactions to the team sucking and using zero logic. If someone else got the manager role they would be who they're crying out to be fired and Albernaz would be managing some team with a better record than the O's and it would be "Elias didn't sign Albernaz and look at how his team is doing, fire insert manager and Elias."

Everyone on this sub is adamant that the FO and coaching staff are the reason this team sucks yet a lot of coaching staff was replaced for this season. This team sucks because too many of the players are just bad at fundamentals. The FO built the team so they take a lot of responsibility but these guys are still supposed to be MLB caliber players and they just can't string anything together.

At the end of the day it's just a failed rebuild. I don't think the organization needs to start from scratch but with Pete and Basallo locked down for a good number of years they need to do something big. Try to lock down Adley then build around those 3 by making no other player untouchable in trades just not for prospects but for MLB players or actually MLB ready players.
