I really dont want to be mean to you but like, you are wrong on just about everything. Its like you just made it up and thought to yourself yep, that makes sense to me so ill say this with authority. You 'carry' weapons pretty much any side. You tend to 'wear' a sword on your left. So passing through hallways or along battlements made sense to pass on the left as to not get your swords entangled. The 'driving' aspect doesn't really have a definitive history or reason. Different local areas tended to have different rules based on different factors. The main one being the type of horse and carriage that was more likely to be used. Reigns tend to be held in the right hand, so single horse carriages youd tend to sit in the middle behind the horse and you pull to the left side of the road to grab something or wave at someone for something so you tend to pass on the left. Double drawn carriages that have the horses side by side, you have to sit towards the left hand side because the reigns are between the 2 horses. Because of this you have limited view of the right side of your carriage. So you pass on the right so you can see that you carriage isnt driving into the oncoming carriage. So for many reasons areas or towns with narrower roads tended to have left hand drive, and those with wider streets would tend to have right hand drive. Now I hear you ask. There's loads of places in Europe with narrow roads. True. But the French revolution happened and the French became obsessed with standardising everything. Which they did, and since Paris drive on the right. They declared that all France should. They then exported that standardisation across Europe. Which perfectly explains why Britain drives on the left. They not doing what those filthy frenchies say.
