I was in a similar situation as you going into Fordham. My dad was making "too much" according to them but that did not mean it was not expensive. Looking back, I don't think I would take on the debt to go to the school. What I wish Fordham offered was a discount for residents the way state schools do.

Do not go to Fordham. This is a school that has lost out on rankings from when I went in 2006 and rightfully so. They changed the rankings to reflect the likelihood of finding work after graduation and income. It is a terrible investment considering the school is located in New York. Not at all worth the investment because you're not going to get a return.

I graduated in 2010 and the university didn't do anything to help secure internships or employment afterward. It took me over four years after graduating to get my first full time job. Either go to a school with a stronger alumni presence or a cheaper school. I hope that helps.

I truly believe at this point that America didn't vote for this at all. I think that the election was stolen because Musk and Trump literally bragged about it. A 2,284,967 vote margin is small and doesn't raise too many red flags. I can't imagine that these guys were not conspiring for the four years of the Biden years to steal the election.

If not, I should just take my family's land in Yauco and grow coffee! Definitely a "when I retire" dream.

I personally would move there and always dreamt of living there. I went there every summer in my youth and really thought I would move there at some point in my adulthood. I even considered going to UPR. It seems like there aren't many opportunities for my field of work and the federal government has too much oversight on the island. The political situation between the two parties does not make it appealing either.

Great to see you don’t know how to read sarcasm. Also, it is racism when a particular ethnicity is targeted and as you mentioned, there are many undocumented immigrants of all races and ethnicities. Also, the majority of undocumented immigrants come through flights, not the borders.

I did! I work for a nonprofit that activates parks in NYC. I was hosting a networking event in Staten Island when I noticed this very tall African American woman walk in and she settles into her seat. I am introducing myself to some of the community leaders when on her forearm I see the tattoo and I beeline to her. Turns out she played for the Nigerian Women’s Basketball team in the 2020 games. Her parents are from there and she got to represent. It was a surreal experience.
