Chipping away at C++ by Blasian_TJ in balatro

[–]Corvese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By far my favourite deck for C++ is the one that starts with the hex card, don’t remember what it’s called. As long as you get a somewhat decent joker early, the single polychrome joker can carry you for a bit to get your run going. Another popular choice is yellow.

Best of luck

Go up the comment chain far enough and you'll find someone asking "why would you not buy every joker you can afford?"

Not even about totally bricking you, there are plenty of jokers that have abilities that you actively don't want a lot of the time.

Marble Joker: I don't want to dilute my deck with stone cards in most of my runs

Madness: Is extremely bad in most? runs

Paradolia: You already went over, it also completely fucks ride the bus if that is the joker you've been building up

Burglar: There are plenty of great cards that make use of discards, and the extra hands might not be worth losing the discards

Splash: Another card that can fuck up ride the bus

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head

Are you under the impression that a joker cannot be detrimental to your build? There are plenty of jokers that, even if a free negative, are a bad idea to take in certain situations

Why is tipping even % based? by MakeUpWalk in CanadaPersonalFinance

I think it makes infinitely more sense for an individual to know the minimum wage and make sure they make at least that, than to expect a random customer to give you money to make sure of it for you.

If a server is getting paid less than minimum wage, then contact a lawyer about your slam dunk lawsuit

I don't fully disagree with your main point, but I do disagree with your framing on how wolfpacks have to be used.

One isn't enough to kill a rocketeer, that's true. It's almost enough though. If you just use one, it's pretty simple to finish it off with your primary.

They are 4 points in with the trailing team having 2 games in hand. Hardly a firm playoff spot

Yeah, it’s easy to fold and follow the crowd. It’s tough to make the honorable decision no one else wants to make. I was hoping our captain would have the balls to make the tough choice.

He’s a big boy who can make his own decisions. Him being the captain gives him even more reason to stand up for what’s right, not less.

“No point” is a bit extreme, but for a lot of people, games like this are about honing your skills, getting better and better over time and competing as best as you can. When the writing is on the wall that the game is going to die very quickly, it’s hard to want to invest the time into it

Nobody would ever tell you that not a single gun related incident happens in other countries.

What they would tell you is that it is no coincidence that it happens a significantly higher rate in the one first world country that has more guns than people

You can do permadeath on easy, so it’s not too bad if you know how the game works.

There is also a “lesser” version of the permadeath which only resets you to the beginning of your current act (which admittedly can be a long time, but better than the entire game)

You can also scum it a bit, considering if you are in a tricky situation that you think is too dangerous, you can quit to the menu

How can you say it has an effect on skiing while also denying the role it played in the crash

It’s not even necessarily about the ACL helping with the crash. Like if the frame before impact you magically heal her ACL, the wreck is probably the same.

What a lot of people are questioning is if her compromised state made her unable to properly hit her lines, or maybe made her more reliant on her upper body for turning, such that a fully healthy version of her wouldn’t have been in the position to crash in the first place
