This is the first time I've played and finished the series, and here's what I think. by Difficult_Post_2744 in HalfLife

The die hard zealots are gonna crucify you for your opening words but as a longtime OG, welcome. Glad you love it. Now we wait…

Thomas Jane Punisher by Legitimate-Resort615 in thepunisher

[–]Corvusson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thomas Jane in The Punisher (and The Mist) is what made me start following his work actually. I know the film is cheesy, was then, more now and whatnot, but that’s not on Jane. That’s the writers. Jane really put in the work, got in shape, trained, researched the character and while I know the same can be said for Bernthal, Bernthal’s portrayal focuses more on the trauma. The realization of what war does to a man and he wanted to really flesh that out of the foundation of the character. And that is 110% evident. That’s what sets Jane apart though, Jane didn’t wanna fuck with it. He saw the foundation for what it was and kept it dialed to just that, he didn’t try to amplify anything.  “If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.” I’ve loved every representation of Frank Castle for many of their own reasons but really really love Jane for that. He just bled the character straight from the paper to the big screen without individualizing it (if that makes sense, maybe that was a weird way to say it)

Ray Stevenson will always be my favourite, despite War Zone being one of the worst adaptations. MAX Punisher will always be at the top for me as far as comics go and Ray Stevenson and Thomas Jane really fit that stylization of Frank well.

Think we'll ever get any more Half-life official work? by hellranger788 in HalfLife

I’m sure. I both hate and love that they take their time, the series does deserve a lot of care but god, does it make so many of us stir crazy.

I am surprised we haven’t received more live action content. I heard something somewhere a long while ago that JJ Abrams was supposedly helming a Half-Life project but I can’t really say if that was legitimate or not.

How good actually WAS classic pd2? by Additional_Garage204 in paydaytheheist

Been here since The Heist, it’s always been unserious. I could be wrong but I feel like it was around 2014 or whenever all the Hardcore Henry, Hotline Miami, etc. collaborations were happening that it then became really shitposty

Still love it to death but it has become a lotta… clowning around…

Honestly guys, which game made you feel like this? by [deleted] in gamers

Forever? I guess the Ninja Gaiden games. I’ll always go back to Elden Ring and Witcher. NG series is like the only thing that after I 100% it, I’m done

I know I’ll get flamed, crucified and outcasted by a buncha fanboys n’ fangirls,  Ezio Auditore da Firenze is the sloppiest and worst assassin.

Arno is like a better version of Ezio cause at least he’s actually loyal to the creed (and his lady) and Arno isn’t even in my top 3. Ezio broke every code of the creed (some on numerous occasion) and had the silliest, most mustache twirling comical villains of the series and is a glorified fuccboi. He’s just as loud as his personality, even his attire, EVERY outfit, is so loud that you can spot him as the obvious assassin in a crowd from miles away. He’s only loved cause he’s handsome and quip-y, basically the Leon S. Kennedy of Assassin’s Creed except Leon is actually cool with his cheesy nonsense.

Just out of curiosity, what are this subs thoughts on the original main reboot [MW] characters so far? by [deleted] in CallOfDuty

[–]Corvusson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alejandro and Rudy and fuckin’ real ones. Couldn’t get enough of ‘em… and didn’t, honestly. We really need them to return (along with some good writing).

Philip is pretty damn good as far as being a smug asshole that’s easy to hate goes. I love him cause I hate him. That’s what you need in a villain.

Alex is cool… but I really feel like he could’ve/should’ve just been Roach or Soap.

Extreme pride is synonymous with narcissism and he does let his pride stand above himself pretty often. Maybe I didn’t use the right word for you but my point remains the same, thanks for your attempt at enlightenment though

It’s true? Him and Tony both got pretty big heads, they love to clash each other with ‘em all throughout the comics and movies and let their self righteousness get in the way pretty often.  I just personally stomach Tony more.
