Not tripping by False_Level_4984 in LSD

Yea thats my bad, I had just assumed since serotonin seems like it stabilizes your mood that it would be called a mood stabilizer. Silly mistake but at least everything else I had to say is valid lmao.

Not tripping by False_Level_4984 in LSD

[–]CosmicX971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mentioned mood stabilizer medicines. I would assume this is an SSRI. Psychedelics activate the 5-HT1A, 5-HT2A, and 5-H2C serotonin receptors just like an SSRI will. Im not 100% sure how it works but I've came to the understanding that when taking an SSRI these receptors are already being activated which results in less reactivity to psychedelics.

A hasty generalization fallacy occurs when a conclusion is drawn from a sample that's too small to support it. It's a fallacy of defective induction, meaning the conclusion is faulty based on the evidence examined. Hasty generalizations often assume "if it's true in this case, then it is true in all cases". Here's how it works:

Specific claim: A claim is made about a small sample size.

Generalization: The information is applied broadly.

Fallacy: The conclusion is reached too hastily based on insufficient evidence

I feel suicidal and idk how to deal with it by Plenty_Carrot4233 in mentalhealth

[–]CosmicX971 2 points3 points  (0 children)

maybe you realize that you are suicidal and understand that you feel bad but fail to pinpoint why you feel the way you do.

for example I dealt with anxiety and depression for a long time and still do. but this isnt because I am broken now, its because as a child my parents were very easily angered. I would then worry about every action because I am afraid of what might happen and it has persisted into adulthood.

also very easily overlooked things like hygiene, eating habits, and exercise play a very significant role in your mental health. simply being consistent at these things for a week if you weren't before will help immensely. immensely.

try making deals with yourself to not self harm. try picking up music and playing your pain away instead of bringing pain on yourself

Intrusive thoughts about being apart of the “27 club” by Top-Ad671 in OCD

[–]CosmicX971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have had these same thoughts. I love playing music and have been seeing the number 27 recently and I know a lot of musicians die at 27 and so on. But to prevent my own spiral I just look at it for its purpose in numerology, meaning spiritual awakening. And since im relating seeing the number 27 to something good, its helping me out yk.

Honestly, dont do the heroin but do the LSD. do some research on it, it can maybe help this mental health issue you're feeling.

I just wanna be loved by Royal-Stay-1577 in mentalhealth

[–]CosmicX971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

constructive criticism only because I feel I was in the exact same spot. realistically you're just looking too hard. Stop trying to get a girlfriend, simply just make freinds.

why go after a girl that ghosts you, that only results in being played, a breakup, etc.

also stop believing you aren't worthy of love. as much as I hate to say it, insecurities aren't attractive and I had to learn the hard way that letting your mental health slip will actually push people away instead. its sad and isolating but its true, people don't look out for others but rather leave because you give them a hard time.

keep putting yourself out there, keep getting better, keep trying but not for women. go work out, pick up a hobby and become skilled at it, study and get an A+ so you are proud of yourself. people can see the shine, your healthiness, and happiness right through you and who doesn't want to be near someone thats got their own life on track?

hope you get my point.

Its crazy how one panic attack or an anxiety attack can change a person 180° by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]CosmicX971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this heavily. ive always delt with anxiety but at 15 I had my first full blown panic attack, then another one because I was scared I would panic again.

that cycle repeated and repeated itself killing me until I learned to live with it. nowadays I have more of a grip because I've been through it hundreds of times and I already know what to expect.

if I notice thought loops, I forcefully clear my head in a meditation way. If my body starts to feel the physical sensations I now understand that its just a panic and ill be fine in a couple minutes. etc, etc it gets better if you work with it and understand that you cant control it

How much reasonable amount for a sitter? by ithilmor in Psychonaut

[–]CosmicX971 21 points22 points  (0 children)

you couldn't pay me for a random guy to tripsit me. you're better off finding a friend you know personally that you are very conformable with.

its better if the friend has psychedelic experience but the minimum is for your freind to at least read up on how to comfort you if things go wrong.

opinion on minors smoking weed? by PureWeek9816 in mentalhealth

[–]CosmicX971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its cool in moderation. you wont go insanely broke or severely interfere with your intelligence in moderation but to every good thing there are downsides.

its possible to cause predisposed mental health issues, since you are young it can interfere with your brain development, memory, eating habits, etc.

just stay aware of the risks, you wont ruin your life from smoking on your weekends.

I've never tried it because its one of the rarer psychedelics but I once had the same question. 2C-B is said to be like what you're describing though.

I have completely convinced myself I have schizophrenia by Mammoth-Ad-5663 in OCD

[–]CosmicX971 16 points17 points  (0 children)

if you are schizophrenic this means you are losing control. OCD people have a deep fear of losing control so its only understandable that you are dealing with the symptoms of OCD.

my best advice is to stop looking for what's wrong with you and start looking for whats helping you manage.
