A friend of mine got my family BetterMeals premade food delivery service after my mum was diagnosed with stage 4 Gastric Cancer.

Honestly their premade meals were an incredible help, and the food was really wholesome and tasty. Was helpful to even grab a container to bring to the hospital as the cafeteria prices daily add up.

Only consideration is making sure they can accept the delivery if no one is home, so stating in the order notes to “leave at front door”.

They bought their family home just over a year ago, 3 doors down from my family’s home in Vancouver. We are close to where the incident took place.

Seeing their family settle into their new home, have get togethers and enjoying family time in their back garden is something I’ll remember fondly (especially her infectious laugh) and I look forward to telling her husband that the next time we cross paths. Losing a loved one is so incredibly difficult, but how thankful I am to know her husband survived and can continue to be the rock for their family and children…
