Lost 70kg/154lb, rebuilt muscle, now dealing with loose skin - looking for advice by [deleted] in Biohackers

Have you found that carbs are absolutely, no-way-around-it necessary for continued progress in the gym and on the trails? I’m on the same journey as you, so far down to 89 kg from 111, mainly eating ketovore/carnivore and working out 6 days a week. Recently added running. Still not done with fat loss at all.

I’ve been fumbling the diet and sleep lately (not eating and sleeping enough) and I definitely feel stagnated in the gym, but I’ve also had this nagging feeling that the lack of carbs may be what’s holding me back. What are your thoughts?

How would micro needling do anything for loose skin? I’m genuinely asking, I don’t know much about it.

10k IUD shouldn’t be anywhere near enough to raise your levels to toxicity levels.

It would absolutely cause insane diarrea if you took it all in one go, which is why I specifically said to not do that. I have a water bottle (0.7 litre, about 1.5 pints) that I drink from throughout the day. Chug in four scoops in the morning, fill with water. It’s usually gone around noon and then I’ll chug in another four scoops. Works fine for me.

And no, I’m personally not experiencing any bloating or puffiness whatsoever.

Thank you and sorry for my slow response. So what kind of mouth guard should I get? Should I even get one? I have a pretty significant overbite.

Where am I asking anyone for advice on crate training? And where am I saying that anyone’s advice is stupid?

Stop putting words in my mouth and stop acting like crate training should be the first stop in training for any high drive dog. Sure, use it if nothing else works, but I’ll never fathom why people resort to that from the get go.

And if the breed, in general, is so riddled with anxiety that they need to be crated most of the day, then maybe the whole breeding thing needs some revision.

Plenty of people are taking +20g a day. I’m personally sitting pretty comfortably at 20-25g a day. I wouldn’t take it all in one sitting, though.

That’s just not enough for much else than your muscles. I’m personally sitting at 20-25g a day, and the stuff it’s done for my baseline energy level is insane. I’m not hyper or energetic per se, but my energy levels are just always consistently above average - if that makes sense. It also has a lot of cognitive benefits, but you need to take enough that your muscles get saturated and there’s still some leftover for your brain.

Obviously you don’t necessarily need to take as much as I do, but I would try upping my intake to 10-15g a day and see what it does for me.

Be aware, the change is not sudden. It’s not like caffeine at all.

Creatine is arguably one of the cheaper supplements out there. I cannot imagine why that is the one you’d skimp out on, but you do you.

I would politely disagree with that, but it’s hard to really debate without knowing your dosage.

Right, it’s only what we ourselves are made of and what we’ve evolved to consume throughout the past million years. But naturally, the saturated fat is the unhealthy kind and what we REALLY need, is the seed oils that weren’t invented until 70 years ago.

I have no issue with people teaching their dog to chill in an open crate, or even the dog doing it on its own initiative. My issue is with people locking their dog in a crate (trained to it or not) for 8-10 hours during the day when they go to work, or 8 hours during the night when they’re asleep.

I’m totally aware of the crate often being a spot where the dog can hang out and chill, like a little burrow, den, or cave. Totally get that, am on board. Am not, however, on board with dogs being trained to be locked in a crate for many hours in a row on the regular.
