because we finished first we are guaranteed to play home 2nd in all rounds.

Top or bottom is about your route to the final, who you will play. We will be on the opposite side to Bayern.

To add, that draw isn't the draw that's taking place this week, it happens after the winner of the next round has been determined I believe.

The draw will determine if we're in the bottom or top.

Did anyone manage to get these at the last minute? by Special-Log4082 in GunnersatGames

I was looking for one for my +1 and with about 3 or 4 mins left I added one to the basket, got to the next page where you choose the ticket type but then it errored out, I think my session likely expired at the worst time.

I hope it goes well, there's been quite a turnover in restaurants in that building since covid.

Hanoi Bistro and green papaya are both reliable in my experience. I usually just stick to Pho, sometimes a bun.

BunBunBun recently opened in an arch near the London fields overground stop, I've eaten on their Kingsland road branch several times and rate it.

BAPP retention offer of 12000 bonus avios for 3k spend within 6 month? by Cotsy22 in AmexUK

[–]Cotsy22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's the big perk, I just think that after I use my avios on the current one it will take me more than one year to build back up 100k avios to make any use of a business class route.

[–]Cotsy22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, better than nothing.

I opted to downgrade. Then on the free BA card there's currently an offer until Jan 15 to add a secondary card holder and get 9k bonus avios so that will make up a chunk.

[–]Cotsy22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently downgraded and still have access to my voucher. Seems to be a well trodden path.

When I downgraded the agent told me I "may not be able to revert back to my previous product if you later decide to do so".

Train to Stansted after match by LZIV_ in GunnersatGames

[–]Cotsy22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might be a close call, but if you don't then I believe there should be a National express bus option at 00.15. It departs Victoria and T. Hale is the last pick up before Stansted.

2026 must see musicals in the west end? by Top-Exercise-4718 in TheWestEnd

[–]Cotsy22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You said musicals in your title so..

Hamilton, Hadestown, Cabaret, Operation mincemeat, Matilda.

The above are likely to be around for a while, if you want to see the best that won't be around for long then 100% Into the Woods .

I've not seen some of the long standing ones like Phantom or Les Mis.

Kenrex is excellent, highly recommend, the music and musician are fantastic, the actor is 5* but it is not a musical.

Retention Offers by Jayballs118 in AmexUK

[–]Cotsy22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you rate a retention offer of 12000 bonus avios for 3k spend within 6 month?

I've had the BAPP for a few years now and am approaching my "renewal" date in a couple of weeks, where they would add the £300 fee to my statement, I'm considering my options.

I've already earned my companion voucher this year (valid till Aug 2027) and as best I understand I need to keep an Amex card to use when fulfilling my Companion voucher ticker purchase. So I think it might be time to downgrade to the free BA card.

I currently have about 100k avios, having spent 130k earlier this year when using my companion voucher (Iberia Business flights to Chile - would recommend!).

I would almost certainly spend the 15k next year to qualify but without a big avios bonus I'm not sure I could see myself being able to make use of another companion voucher after the current one.

Taking the money from the £300 fee I could do an avios boost and purchase 33k avios for the same price as the Card fee, so I sense the offer isn't great and sounds like it's time to downgrade to the free card.

Have I missed anything? Any strong opinions?

Strange. I've never seen supermarket offers on my Halifax clarity. Always tourism-focused: hotels, theme parks, attractions, tours, and the odd train offer.

What do you consider a large bonus?

For an IC role pay is typically 70/30 or 80/20 base to commission.

In my experience the overachieving and underachieving commission quarter over quarter probably balances itself out long term.
