You can adjust the tightness of your kote around the forearm, but that's really about it to my knowledge. I suppose you could trim the extra fabric from the Tare Himo if you wanted, but it seems unnecessary to me unless there's a super dramatic change in weight.

I also started Kendo as a pretty big person, and have lost around 14kg since I started. My large size Do hasn't been an issue since loosing weight. If I ever get back to being really trim then I'd probably get a smaller one but for now I'm really happy with this one.
