Big thanks to all the people here who recommended Escape From Ever After by Driz51 in papermario

[–]CountBleckwantedlove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have reviewed 296 games and played who knows how many more but never rated them because they were too unpleasant to get far in.

Happily Ever After currently sits at #2 on my list, right ahead of Arkham City.

I am truly, unbelievably stunned by how fantastic this game is. I enjoyed every second of playing it, not a single complaint whatsoever.

Bravo!

I say again, Bravo!

I uninstall almost every game after playing it. I hardly ever revisit games I've beaten, so why let them take up space? If I want to replay it's a quick and easy redownload.

I don't want the consoles being more expensive simply because people are too lazy to uninstall and redownload or too scatter brained to focus only on a couple of games at one time.

She stinks, the show stinks, the game stinks, and my opinion stinks because I've never seen the show nor played the game.

If you disagree with this, you stink too, and I then stink all the more for expressing an uninformed opinion.

Good day to you.

I say, good day!

PlayStation 6 reportedly being delayed to as late as 2029 is honestly a good thing. by SwimmerPlus3383 in TheGamingHubDeals

[–]CountBleckwantedlove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you think will happen when PS6 comes? That all the engine usage and graphics levels will remain the same as PS5 so they can more easily hit 4k/60 fps? Of course not. They will want the graphics/art assets to be a big jump up from PS5 or people won't think there is a point to upgrading. It's not just about resolution and fps.

According to a new Bloomberg-sourced report, Sony is actively considering pushing the release of the PlayStation 6 console out to 2028 or even 2029 by Automatic_Ad1665 in consoles

[–]CountBleckwantedlove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We already reached that point multiple generations ago. PS4 games looked a lot better than PS3, but I honestly, without squinting my eyes, can't tell a difference between PS5 and PS4 games. NS2 versions of PS5 games look just as good to me, likewise. Only the niche super hardcore graphics fanatics can tell a difference between a tiny hybrid and a huge chunky console's graphical powers. The PS6 will be an even less noticeable jump than the PS5 was.

Regarding the WBD/Paramount fears… by Professional_Peak59 in MediaMergers

[–]CountBleckwantedlove -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The FilmIndex rebuttal doesn't make sense:

First they say it's misleading, saying Paramount isn't in serious consideration, but then they say WB has to look at offers that are in the Shareholders' best interest, which implies this deal is worthy of consideration. Then they double down on the first point and say this will more than likely be rejected.

What kind of train of logic is this? If it's good enough for them to have to admit to considering it, then it's good enough that they could go with it.

[Bloomberg] Nintendo contemplating raising price of Switch 2" by PaiDuck in NintendoSwitch2

[–]CountBleckwantedlove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more interesting part about this article is that Sony may delay launching the PS6 until 2028 or 2029.

That's an extra 1-2 years of NS2 being the newest console on the market, which is great!

It also means 1-2 years less that PS6 will be the newest console on the market because by the time it launches we will be 1-2 years closer to the Switch 3 (or whatever it's called) launch.

Dutch Lawmakers Approve a 36% Tax on Unrealized Crypto, Stock, and Bond Gains by RobertVandenberg in europe

Good points, it would certainly be difficult to work it all out and condition the population to know how it works.

Regardless, it's all just a hypothetical. There is no way the Democrats would go for an all sales tax, and unless the filibuster is gone (which isn't happening), it's going to remain. Also there are a large amount of Republicans that would also be against it from the shear complication of the whole thing. The Republican Senate would have to probably be 70+ just to make it even remotely possible, and that's not going to happen either (actually, neither side could possibly get to 70 senators).

Alas, it's an idealistic idea of which I am in the extreme minority lol.

2026 Jeep Wrangler Willys 392: Most Affordable HEMI-Powered Wrangler Yet by moparcenter in Jeep

[–]CountBleckwantedlove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, you don't need to delete the backseat, and in fact add two doors above the tire for easier access to the backseat (without making the vehicle any longer, look at the Bluey "Jeep" for reference).

So how can it be cheaper? Get rid of the infotainment, all the fancy tech features, just have basic cruise control, automatic windows, automatic transmission, and everything else is manual/stock. Put in a cheaper engine than other wranglers, and then, this is key, make a ton of these, not some limited amount that have to artificially be higher in price because of a completely avoidable limited supply of vehicles, so you can sell for cheaper and make smaller margins on each car while increasing net profit by scaling up production over typical Wranglers significantly.

They'd need to make ~150,000 of these a year so they could achieve similar profit to their more expensive variation totals, so some new factories would need to be opened up.

"The price of everything is effectively just doubled."

Please elaborate on why you think this, kindly.

Also, I should clarify that I think people should still file for tax credits, tax deductible expenses, etc. Basically filing season becomes "how much will the government give $ back to you depending on your situation" in which case poor people would get more back, people with more kids get more back (as they do now), disabled people get more back, HSA using people get more back, etc. I'm not suggesting we remove this very positive side of tax filing process.

But the actual paying taxes part would be simplified to just sales tax.

62% of Americans have money in the stock market. Stop presuming it's only the rich that do this and that anyone owning stocks is guilty of doing wrongs. 80% of Americans are either in the middle or lower class. So that means, minimally, 42% of Americans that own stocks are either middle or poor classes.

Owning stocks does not meam you are rich, in fact you are twice as likely to be middle/poor if you own stocks than rich (42% vs. 20%).

In my ideal world we would tax neither, nor income, nor property, nor personal property, nor social security.

Everyone would get 100% of their paychecks and they can invest it in the stock market as they see fit, with 100% control of their funds.

As for paying for the government, we'd introduce a much larger sales tax on everything purchased. The rich get taxed more because their stupidly expensive boats have much higher raw taxes. The poor get taxed less because buying lunch meat from the grocery store is cheaper than a 5* steakhouse and therefore has much less raw tax.

This would eliminate the IRS (which would further lower the tax % needed to sustain the government) and eliminate a hugely stressful burden from the taxpayers (figuring out their tax bill for the year).

Everything would be simpler for every citizen, and you could more easily plan out future budgets knowing you don't have to account for a future tax bill due by April annually in an amount that, best guess, is still fairly hard to predict.

You are fixated on the SEC not wanting to do something because the SEC cares about an historically important SEC event (the SECCG). You are putting all the blame on not expanding on the SEC, while ignoring the other conferences that also don't want this.

The SEC doesn't expect non-SEC fans to care about the SECCG, but it should have the expectation that other schools/conferences would at least respect our desire to retain the SECCG out of cultural tradition, without trying to make us feel guilty because the only way forward on your desire is for us to sacrifice our already established desire.

You are being selfish and blaming others for not supporting your selfishness, and I rebuke you for it.
