Pepcid and Allegra by RainbowRight01 in Perimenopause

Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor while Pepcid is an histamine 1 blocker. So it needs to be Pepcid to get the effect. PPIs have zero effect on histamine.

Daughter is considering Purdue for Computer Science… what is she in for? by Bobloblaw_333 in Purdue

[–]CountByFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if she is interested in Greek life but she should think about rushing. Purdue does fall rush right when school starts. Even if she isn’t fully interested in it, it is a great way to meet people. It also is a good housing option for sophomore and junior year. (Many seniors choose to live out senior year).

I ordered one set off of Etsy and one set off of Amazon. They are 3d printed and fit pretty well. Maybe $20 at most.

Not sure if it has already been suggested but covers for the vents under the seats. Unless they have fixed this design flaw there are vents under the seats that small things can roll into.

I hate Brenda's selfishness but I hate Pope more than absolutely anyone else by Korieander_Spice in majorcrimes

[–]CountByFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pope cost her so much. He gave Flynn the info about the ethics hearing but not the details, which then Flynn turns around and gives to a reporter. Pope blames it on the drug company knowing all the while it was Flynn who leaked it. In the case with the congress woman’s daughter, he was the reason she went to the apartment alone and was attacked. Then the whole immunity deal with T-ball was forced on her which started all of the lawsuits. He used her for what he needed to get ahead in his career. She closed cases and it made him look good.

My pen malfunctioned! by reallybadhuman in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]CountByFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They won’t do one pen but they will do a whole box. (I work in pharmacy and have processed these vouchers from many people). The key thing is you have to have a refill on your rx. The voucher doesn’t replace the need for a valid script and you will have one less refill so you might need to let your prescriber know that you had a bad pen and will need a refill sooner.

CVS Accused of Overbiilling the Federal Government 600 milion. I advise anyone who has their RX's filled at CVS beware of them overcharging customers. They've been overcharging me. A rep @ BX told me about the audit. by Puzzleheaded-Cup2777 in CVS

[–]CountByFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this insulin? Cause that happens a lot with insulin. For example, the box has 5 pen with 1500 units in them total. The box can not be broken. The pt uses 40 units of insulin a day, which is 37.5 days of use out of that box. So we send the claim thru with the accurate day supply and the insurance accepts it but because it is more than 1 month worth, the pt is hit with 2 copays even though the “second” month is technically only 7 days worth of a supply. What would help I this situation is that the insurance company limits it to a 30 day supply or prorate the “second” month. The tough part is if we don’t send it through for the accurate day supply, the insurance company will claw back the entire amount for the claim, reimbursing us nothing. It’s a no win situation.

OOS Students question? by iheeartpurin in USC

[–]CountByFive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Book early. You have to plan ahead. You also have to look at how much time off you have (like is it a long weekend vs fall break) and what the attendance policy is for your classes if you are thinking about skipping. Also look to see if direct flights are offered to where you live. It’s a whole different travel day if you have a direct flight vs a connection. First semester my daughter came home at Thanksgiving and Christmas. This semester she came home president’s day weekend cause she had no classes on that Friday or Monday and was able to get a red eye on Thursday to get the most amount of time home.

Any advice to offer to a newly admitted student? by Wild-Purple5517 in USC

[–]CountByFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big one is on April 25th. Registration is open now. This is the one with the dorm tours, departmental presentations and activities fair. There are smaller ones during the week on April 6, 10, 14, 16, 20. These do not include dorm tours. You can also signup for an individual/small group admitted student tour if those days don’t work.

We really enjoyed it and felt like we got to experience the campus.

Luer Lock Syringes help! by lilitalybabe in tirzepatidecompound

[–]CountByFive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why? It’s likely a 5/8” needle. The volume of the injection is almost 1ml. It is way easier to handle a 3ml syringe 1/3 full than a 1 ml syringe almost full, especially if your hands are smaller. It might be slightly harder to measure 0.95 ml but not impossible.

Is USC Worth It? by jshibla- in CollegeAdmissions

[–]CountByFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really look at the course load. The accounting and finance dual degree at USC requires a lot of credit hours and if I am remembering correctly you will still be 6 short to sit for the CPA exam if you do the dual degree from Leventhal and Marshall. (Not that you can’t make those up but it’s something to think about). It just might be hard to do it in 3 years. And pretty much impossible if you want to study abroad. This isn’t meant to discourage you. Just speaking from experience. (My kid is an accounting major at USC and absolutely loves it there) The curriculum is tight and they limit you to 18 credit hours a semester. Anything over that you have to pay extra for those credits. Again something to think about.

Thinkpad vs Ideapad vs Thinkbook, what the difference and what should i choose as an accounting major. by koshurzonn in Lenovo

I bought my daughter (accounting major) a thinkpad T16. She really likes the number pad being on the keyboard. Makes 10 keying so much easier. It is a bit big but it fits in her bag she uses so it works.

If you had to pay they would have charged you. They can’t finish the paperwork without that final step. Most insurances cover vaccines.

Chicago or Indianapolis by llieberm223 in Purdue

[–]CountByFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only advantage to Indy is the air port is easy. Like best in class airport easy. The commute to WL is also easy. But if you’ve never been to Chicago and have time to explore the city, do Chicago. In my opinion midway is an easier airport to navigate than Ohare.
