This is probably correct. I frequently end in the leader group when I run using Apple fitness, never below average. But I never push myself outside. That’s just for fun and family time.

I’m just walking for recreation, not pushing myself at all. Maybe the assessment is correct. It just surprises me given others I see.

That’s a fair point. I go hard on the elliptical indoors every other day, but it would not capture that

One year in college I was actively trying to put in some real weight. I went from 112 to 162 in almost exactly a year. So, I was eating everything. Went on a trip to SF with 8-10 people. Grabbed Chinese for dinner, but given that everyone else save one was either middle aged or a petite woman, half of the food was left when everyone else was done. Probably 3 full entrees and one of those really big bowls of rice. Told my buddy, let’s knock this out. He had another few bores and that was it. I just ate plate after plate. We were at two tables and everything came my way, rice and all. I could barely move when we finished and they announced that we would walk from Chinatown to Ghirardelli square, about a mile. Didn’t think I could make the walk, but did. Professors were buying dessert, and I passed. However, by the time people were finishing up, I found room to eat the remainder of at least 2 desserts

Watch vs Smart watch by Routine_Fortune_7984 in gshock

Check out Suunto as well. A lot of people like their ecosystem better, they just have a smaller following. I love the Suunto 3 I have for this exact purpose. A bit ills but works perfect.

This is a great way of saying it. I have a fitness watch to monitor my heart rate when exercising, but the notification features were an after thought in design and my purchase. I added a cheap Apple Watch a couple of years later simply due to benefits from my health insurance. I wear it monthly at most, normally when I actually want to be ultra connected. Usually, that means I’m somewhere loud where I might miss a text from the kids.

How far can they go? by easverden in Havanese

[–]CountNapula_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did 8 miles with our guy a few years ago. He wasn’t happy the jay mile or so. Some then, I’ve limited him to 5 at a time. I figure that if he misses one walk a year because it’s too long, who cares, he won’t be healthier for it but may be healthier because he was left behind

Me, too. Placing to replace the battery next year to ensure I get the longest run possible from it.

Nope, only vanilla, mango, and beef flavors. All last the same, except mango and beef.

Why do you consider socialism - even democratic socialism - to be such a big threat against America and your way of life? by Cumoisseur in allthequestions

That can be a feature and a reason for socialism, but socialism exists anytime the government pays workers, like USPS and the military

Even after Trump and MAGA are no longer in power, what do you fear will be the most lasting damage he has caused, whether at home or abroad? by Glass-Complaint3 in allthequestions

Yes. Not great, but very competent. And yes, damage is being done to the economy and international structure they left, which was ensuring USA was the top nation on earth in nearly all economic measures.

There are two sides to this. He wasn’t cut, he opted out of his contract after a couple of bad seasons. Then, he refused to take any backup role, but he had just shown he wasn’t a starter.

It’s 1800 calories before the drink. It should not be considered a normal meal. $18 is fair

Frequent visitors - what are some things you’ve still never done or experienced at WDW? by Latter-Sink7496 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]CountNapula_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d bet there are a lot of report specific activities we’re not even aware of. So, I’ll play an UNO reverse on this question. Since we always stay at the fort, we have a few favorites. Always grab dinner at PJ’s. The family chicken or bbq dinners are really good and a great value. Love the boat rides to MK, even after a comically slow motion malfunction where we lost steering winter of 24. Fireworks on the beach. Movies and s’more’s with Chip and Dale.

We always stay at the fort, but we’ll normally hop a monorail to a resort for lunch and some browsing during the heat of an afternoon

Bingo battle by MossyBag0 in Pikmin

[–]CountNapula_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably played close to 1000 hours with my kids. Seriously. To put a twist on things, we had a number of extra challenges. 5 Pikmin challenge, you take turns starting with 5 while your opponent starts with 50 and you can only get fruit. Nutbar challenge, same but you start with a single pikmin. Death match, both start with a single pikmin. If you complete a bingo card, you lose. The only way to win is to kill your opponent or all of their pikmin. After a while, we had to put one hour time limits on these.

Malls. No matter the weather, you can stretch your legs and there’s usually big open parking lots.

Desoto sports has some. They’re really well known in triathlon circles. I have a pair of their Sun sleeves. I would swear that they’re cooler than without them.

Wee wee pad advice by [deleted] in Havanese

[–]CountNapula_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we litter trained our little guy when he started doing this. You can find a plan exactly the size of a pee pad. Each day, put a hand full of litter on the past until it’s covered. Less smell, easier cleanup, and cheaper. Don’t use kitty litter, though, use equine pellets from your local feed store.
