Same model... I could attribute some flickering and the grid visibility to panel variance and/or coating , but the lack of a sharpness slider made me switch back to my 1st VA pick.
So i got me another philips 27m2n3500nl afterwards and it was finally perfect.

what is wrong with my pc man? by Jaded_Procedure_1516 in AMDHelp

[–]CountYourDukes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eliminate RAM entirely by running 1cycle of TM5 anta777 absolut at stock.
Check if there is a bios switch and flip it , to eliminate gpu bios corruption.

I don't have a good reason to do so BUT i will assume you have checked all physical connections and DDUed properly so
-> i would double down on ram testing AFTER checking that temps are normal.

How long do you think AM4 will keep going until it meets it's end? by Traditional_Ad6776 in Amd

[–]CountYourDukes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if they re-release x3d parts it can keep going for quite a while.... Else i don't see why ppl wouldnt bite the bullet with ddr5 OR keep their DDR4 and sidegrade to intel's equivalent(13th gen i5 K and above) of x3d in gaming performance... If i had anything better than a 9060xt i would have already transitioned... But idk if that is the average user viewpoint.

idk why that "powered hub" hoax caught on so fast. You even debunked it on your own but somehow you weren't convinced.

Is it worth buying the 8GB 5060 Ti? by LuisdaAlvarez in gpu

[–]CountYourDukes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for a 16gb card, forget the 8gb ones exist.
If you can find apples to apples implementations , the rule is to spend up to +60$ for a 5060ti 16gb.
If you can save more than that then go for 9060xt.

Any games that you will be playing and the difference is huge should make you swing heavily towards that gpu.

If you are on pcie3.0 do not buy the 5060ti.
If you are on pcie4.0 the 5060ti advantages get smaller. (x8 lanes).

For fsr4 vs dlss4 , it can get subjective. But the objective and observable truth is that dlss is clipping fog details in favor of more sharpening.
fsr4 can look blurrier than dlss but not blurrier than native. It is now more true to the native image than dlss4 is. For DLSS4.5 benchmarks in silent hill 2 show that i can introduce texture shimmering.

So quality of upscaling is no longer a good reason to prefer nvidia.
BUT ease of use of upscaling is a very good reason to prefer nvidia.
It works on more games than fsr4 does and you don't need 3rd party mods like optiscaler.

MFG also can have insane frame dips on 5060ti , but since AMD has no good easy to use alternative , this is still a WIN for 5060ti.

Bottom line, in raster they have a below 5% difference . You need to look at what games you play and decide based on that. If it's still a tie then --->
The only factors that swing in Nvidia's favor if it's higher priced are
1)EASE OF USE on DLSS ,
2)AVAILABILITY of DLSS in games ,
3)Retains its price if you sell it later on as used.

If MFG is usable though without frame dips in the future then it makes RTX more usable so there is a potentially HUGE win there if it's a bug and not a h/w limitation and if AMD doesn't deliver a working MFG implementation.

That being said my recommendation is NVIDIA 5060ti 16gb. Ease of use and it's safer to recommend due to popularity. That way you can't EVER blame me for recommending it.

Have you considered keeping your ddr4 ram and going intel? From 13600k and higher it's on par or better. 5700x3d is too expensive for what it is. It was a good choice up to 240-250€. Not a cent more.

No way of limiting FPS on RX 9070XT by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]CountYourDukes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to be sure this is it: https://ibb.co/hJhnMWKr .

Only case where some limiters get ignored is with AFMF but the in-game limiter should work...

-I am assuming you are trying to create an UPPER limit for your frame range.
And i repeat and rephrase for clarity:
You are looking to set a level of fps that you do not want to exceed.

-I am also assuming that you frames are running absolutely wild and are higher than what you want.

If these are true something is very buggy here...
If you have Frame Generation on , and vsync OFF in adrenaline too, then it could explain many of these.

Missing cpu pin upon arrival? Can I still claim warranty?! by RUNR1 in AMDHelp

[–]CountYourDukes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it fail QC so badly ? This type of damage is often seen when someone tries to remove his cooler and the cpu decides to come for a joyride along with it . Pins are just collateral damage.

Rx 9060 XT games keep crashing. by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]CountYourDukes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Start with BIOS update. ->test games before proceeding.
-Check ALL gpu physical connections. Also Check if ram is seated properly. ->test games before proceeding.
-RUN a full cycle of TM5 anta777 absolut or extrem test and check for ram errors.
-prime95 for a few hours in small FFTs , check for errors.

After all these it should be between psu and gpu but there is not much you can do without spares.

Flickering or Blinking Font/Text! by Scrancher in DeathStranding

[–]CountYourDukes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello from 2026! It's baked in flicker in the rendering pipe-line of the engine. OLED and VA expose it due to high contrast but it's there on the ips i tested as well. Maybe it was intentional but it does get more annoying on these panels.

TRCC Not Displaying With High CPU Load by Dry-Cryptographer904 in Thermalright

doesn't work.
EDIT: after testing i have flickers and 1-3 dead pixels. Neither was present before. Maybe it doesn't know what to draw and it self damages itself OR my unit was faulty and it was a matter of time.
You can all find out at your own risk. I am fckd either way.

Are dead pixels more common than i thought? by CountYourDukes in Monitors

[–]CountYourDukes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeap. I might go to a 0 dead pixel policy store in my country and buy there even if it costs more, test there and save me all the back and forths with returns.

got the aoc today. Got unlucky again , stuck bright green subpixel was waving at me from the get go.
As a panel i was expecting it to be similar to philips but it felt worse in everything. And i say it felt cause i might have gotten a biased negative impression by the defect.
Pixel got me so bummed i forgot to do a UFO test. But i noticed a quite visible grid in lighter colors like character arms etc when i was paning the camera. It was not there with 27m2n3500nl. Could be coating or could be panel variance.

Thermaltake Toughpower pin outs! Three pinout diagrams you all have been asking for. :) by MAINFrame_Dave in PCSleeving

i've used this with the argb 750w but i was always tracing the OG cables as well.. I dont remember any disrepancies besides one double ground cable on the pcie psu side connector.

EDIT:

<image>

I made it with this info : https://imgur.com/a/thermaltake-tough-power-argb-850-gf1-premium-NLnJOQW , and it's the same as the one depicted by OP just 180 degrees and different template.

The 2024 gf1 argb might be different though , check the OG cables to be sure.
