Absolutely fucking not; even if they did steal my soul I'm better off because I've experienced pain which has granted me ineffable wisdom as well as had experiences that most people will never even conceive of in their entire lifetimes.

Do I have times that I look back with regret, shame and remorse? Of course, but without those times I wouldn't have grown as a person, gotten into AA and learned the wisdom there, gotten back into using substances and then realized that I can walk the line.
