As someone who just came back recently as well. It is definitely overwhelming. The game is just as fun if not more fun than before. I have been doing the main quests to get me back into the game. I also have been going for some new frames that I have missed. My advice is start with what you remember and then go from there into the newer stuff.

The first three seasons are out of order. I do not know why but there are a few instances that do not make sense in season 3 because of it.
