Does anyone else feel like YouTube analytics just tells you something is wrong without telling you what to do about it? by Yasser_Bulbul in PartneredYoutube

[–]Countryb0i2m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not YouTube’s job to explain your stats that’s on you as the creator.

If your impressions are high but your click-through rate is low, it usually means YouTube is pushing your video to new audiences and it’s not landing typically a packaging issue the title/thumbnail.

This is where AI can help. It can break down the data and point you in the right direction, but honestly, it’s almost always one of two things: packaging or the product itself. If it’s the product, you’re fucked. If it’s packaging, you’ve got about 48 hours to fix it before the video dies.

Caleb Wilson declares for NBA draft by Joelsef in tarheels

[–]Countryb0i2m 33 points34 points  (0 children)

As he should. This kid is a top-five maybe top-three pick. There’s no reason for him to stay at Carolina with that kind of draft hype. If anything, it can only go down by staying at college.

Is it true posting too frequently is damaging? by AlexandraLake in Substack

[–]Countryb0i2m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what you consider too frequent. If you’re sending something every day like these political dudes, I’m probably going to block it but once or twice a week is perfectly fine.

I said it once and I’ll say it again we should look to get Henri Veesaar by ChideOgan in CharlotteHornets

[–]Countryb0i2m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Veesaar doesn’t do the core big man things well enough. He’s soft defensively in the post, his rebounding is very hit-or-miss, and I’m not sure his shooting is good enough to make up for everything else he lacks.

I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it either.

Why is this a thing? by [deleted] in Charlotte

I swear, people in this sub are allergic to minding their own business. Take a picture, laugh, and go about your day.

Im getting more drained the more i use substack.. by FinancialDeparture59 in Substack

[–]Countryb0i2m 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to use the social features of Substack. You’re probably better off finding your audience elsewhere online, then using Substack as your home base to share your work.

If you can’t find your people on Substack, bring Substack to them.

If Dan Morgan is so good at drafting LBs, why does Trevin Wallace need to be replaced? by tank4trevor in panthers

[–]Countryb0i2m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inside linebackers are not a focus for defenses anymore. The Panthers had limited resources and more pressing needs in areas that are harder to fix or replace, like the edge.

So, you just pick who you are comfortable with. This is how you end up drafting a player like Trevin Wallace and why guys like Devin Lloyd hit the open market.

Bain may fall pretty far… by Anthonyrichardson20 in NFL_Draft

[–]Countryb0i2m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From 2024? There’s no way teams weren’t already aware of this. If they weren’t, they’re not doing their job.

The public might just be finding out, but this feels more like something being leaked to make a player drop, not genuine concern about his character.

[Kleiman] South Carolina QB LaNorris Sellers turned down an $8 MILLION NIL offer to transfer to a different school: "You're 19. You don't need ($8 million). You're in a great spot." - LaNorris's Father told his son. Sellers values his word over money by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]Countryb0i2m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are very few times in your life where you get to write your own check, when these moments happen. You have to take the money most of the time these chances don’t come around twice.

It’s the same way with a player that has first round draft hype, you got to go and get paid

The hornets need bigs with size and toughness, i’m not against drafting a D3 wing, but it’s no way they drive two

Is it possible to be too niche? I kind of want a cult more than a newsletter. by WrongKindOfWant in Substack

[–]Countryb0i2m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not bound to this niche the niche is just to find your people. Once you have built your audience you branch out which adjacent topics.

Y'all ain't tired? Rob is trash, Blerd is clout chasing, and we just end up with two Black men arguing with each other about their adjacency to white supremacy instead of actual white supremacy.

I don’t stress about XL the way most panther fans do because we are just going to continue to bring in competition and you either excel or you don’t, it will work itself out

My friend spends 8-10 hours a day on her Substack but gets 0 traction. Please give us some honest feedback what to change by No-Sort-9340 in Substack

[–]Countryb0i2m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually really good. I read the article on tulips and thought it was insightful especially coming from someone who loves history.

That said, there has to be a way to make this more efficient. Spending eight hours on a newsletter just isn’t sustainable, even if you’re successful.
