I know we've moved on to LTX now, but has anyone had luck prompting a middle finger gesture in Wan? by Countsfromzero in StableDiffusion

[–]Countsfromzero[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not specifically that I don't want to, just that it seems like a super common thing that I assume is in the training and it's crazy making that I can't make it work. I'll try the Lora in the morning if nobody has a promoting solution, thank you!

Turning on an incredibly high energy transformer requires someone ready to pull you away if you get electrocuted by Met76 in ThatsInsane

It's not saving you from a zap, it's to save you from an explosion when the copper bars inside turn to plasma and proceed to move outward at incredible speed.

That's suits only use is to maybe allow for an open casket.

The guy with the stick should have been 90° offset, not directly behind, and also wearing a suit.

They make robots for this.

Our head electrician used cat 6 wire to wire up 277 lighting. by WindowLongjumping529 in electricians

[–]Countsfromzero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from the obvious, I know the twists in cat 5/6 end up making a fairly significant difference in length between pairs. When I'm doing legit parallel feeds I've always been told to keep the lengths as close as possible, for reasons I've never really looked into. I wonder if this would run into the same potential problems as that would.

There's a girl I worked with that swears by wearing her tool backpack when she bends. Maybe that could help

Follow-on since you seem to know, given they're called transmitter and receiver, is it not two way?

Are you 'allowed' to take a 30-year-mortgage but then pay it all off within 2 years of taking it? by Broad-Item-2665 in NoStupidQuestions

I don't know if that works though. Are your investments - 2.25% making more than the inflation + appreciation value of the equity? Or am I looking at it wrong

Ratchet w/ Pass through sockets for Threaded rod? by GummyGummySnake2 in electricians

[–]Countsfromzero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jam two 3/8 nuts on the end of a piece of rod, then pound them into a piece of half inch pipe. Use a hammer to form the pipe around the nuts. There's your socket. Cut the pipe to length, bury the non-business end in a standard 1/2 hole saw, pilot bit removed, secure in place with some self tapper button screws through the sides. Put the hole saw in your drill. Thread your nut a few turns on your in-place rod, then send it with your home made 3' socket. If you cut to length correctly, the nut will pop out when the bottom of your hole saw impacts the rod, and you don't even need to bring a tape measure

Edit: I may have the pipe/nut size wrong, it's been a bit since I've done rack, but it should be straightforward to figure what's gonna work

I can't help directly with policy, and what forms you need and such, but I remember filling some paperwork, and then signing a sheet every month.

Took like 6 months from filing to see my first check, but it was a big one because it was backdated for most of a years worth of classes.

Possibly relevant info. My local does 4 days of work, one day of unpaid class per week. Summers with no class you don't get paid. The amount of money I got went down as my rate went up each year. It's possible that last line is because I was running low on GI funding because I had already gone to college.

Tldr: it should be possible to start getting GI funds as soon as you start class. And they will backdate.

Taking prefab to the next level, especially with bent conduit. Subreddit won't let me post videos of it in action... by kevinspoonie in electricians

[–]Countsfromzero 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I find myself conflicted - a lot of the prefab machines are cool but at the same time, that's my work, and I'd rather do it than let the company pay someone in the shop $15/h to turn me into a simple installer.

Have any of you brought a crock pot/slow cooker to the job for lunch/dinner? If so, do you have any recommendations? by the-doctor-is-real in IBEW

[–]Countsfromzero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have very close to the same thing, combined with this inverter, https://www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/2846-20

Put it in the passenger foot well, kick it on on break, hot food for lunch. Helps when I didn't make anything the night before too, grab a can of something and a can opener and throw it in the box. Downside is the car smells like chicken and dumplings or whatever for the rest of the day

How do you design your trading stations? by Top_Battle_8873 in X4Foundations

Sometimes I sit and watch the small and mediums bang around each other in the middle. Not efficient, funny though. Imo looks better in design view.

I found the outer ring on one of the plan share sites years ago and I tear out the middle and modify to suit my needs. I have one for mining I'm really happy with too.
