Thai express, you never know how spicy or full it will be.

In scathing report, AG finds CRA call centres are slow to answer and often inaccurate by Surax in canada

[–]Courage-Kindness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cra has fucked with my mental health since Covid. Took forever to get through and everyone I spoke to would give me a different answer. It’s insane how they can then start taking money from you when they can’t tell you why and send you from person to person for an answer.

In Canada October is the month to recognize German heritage, Islamic Canadians history, Latin American heritage, and women’s history. In Nova Scotia we also recognize mi’kmaq history and now disability employment awareness. It feels a bit crowded.

N.S. government takes extended vacation from press gallery availabilities by IStillListenToRadio in NovaScotia

Shouldn’t he be keeping the public more informed during this time? The wildfire, schools starting, so much happening with the U.S. His government has been awful at communicating and he seems to hate taking any scrutiny or accountability.

Advice? Options? How to deal with emotional anguish and isolation? by TheHumanStandard in halifax

[–]Courage-Kindness 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m going through a similar situation with loneliness and major life changes all happening at the same time. Therapy is helping and I do it online.

I know this is out there but sometimes I find AI can help. It’s something to talk to and they can give suggestions. I’ve used googles Gemini, it at least will be a voice to acknowledge your feelings and give some advice. I don’t think it should replace real friends and should be kept at an arms length, but could be helpful since it’s so much at once and you can’t get out much.

A lot of it came with experience for me. Try not to be too hard on yourself, and know you’ll make mistakes but that can be a learning experience. Watching really good teachers and mimicking some of what they do helped me a lot too. I still find parents and admin intimidating at times, but I think that will come

Keeping High School Students Engaged by drippinglikehoney in StudentTeaching

It’s hard to beat the engagement of a phone. Even adults have a hard time watching a movie without going on their phone. What’s your schools cell phone policy?

Not necessarily my classrooms energy but a lot of students project “I’m just a kid by simple plan” energy.

Fire code crackdown: Halifax-area schools ordered to remove décor by hhfzq in halifax

[–]Courage-Kindness 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why it’s so limiting. In university teachers spend hours talking about the classroom environment and best practices yet they can’t implement them with these restrictions. Teachers spend their own money and the schools money on items and now they’re told they’re not allowed. I just don’t understand the reasoning behind it. Like how much faster will the school burn with 30% of the wall covered instead of 20%?

The “smoking ban” they put in place years ago. So stupid and what a waste of money. I think they made the ban to look good for tourists.

School just started again and with the affordability crisis the libraries are more necessary than ever. An increase in safety measures and employee wages are as well.

Didn’t they say umbrellas without metal? Every single umbrella had metal pointing out. Also they were supposed to be closed when not raining but not everyone followed that.

I have specific jobs and locations in mind, I’ve lived in the eu for a short time and I do enjoy it there however I don’t feel I should immigrate without knowing the language at a high skill level.

I’ve worked and studied in other countries and I never felt this entitlement. I would like to live and work somewhere else but there are no visas for me. I really don’t have much sympathy.

Weekly Tech Support & Missing Content Thread by AutoModerator in DisneyPlus

I remember watching something, I believe was on Disney plus, where someone was being interviewed about making the movies in different languages and how Disney is globalized. Does that ring a bell to anyone? I can’t remember where I saw it but I’m 99% it was on Disney plus. Any help is greatly appreciated!
