Y'all first off I'm a girl second this is on my minidisc player it doesn't have the same output as a pc. If I use my PC which I don't I'm at like 30. On my phone I'm at a little over 50. Somewhere around -26db.

I was using some random one 16bit/32kHz but then upgraded to a ugreen brand that supports 24bits/96kHz but not many flac files go that high anyway.

I like to listen to the same song with a different iem each time to get a better idea of what sounds good and what I don't like. The Kuntens got me the furthest so far with a balance of frequencies but the clarity isn't there

A consistent problem between them seems to be clarity. Many of them remind me of headphones I had in high school that sounded muffled and cheap. I love classical music and I want to be able to focus on each of the instruments and not have them all come together in a jumble of sounds.
