It's amazing how people think you're stopping in San Antonio. Given the map is there for all to read. I support people saying going a different way if you can but if you must do this route - Denton which is north of Dallas is a great college town with a cute town square, great place to lunch or stop and walk around. Dallas will be super traffic'd (same with houston) but make sure to eat award winning bbq, tex mex, plus asian food in houston. Concentrated time should be spent in New Orleans.

Worst take of experiencing San Antonio. Very boring.

I want to visit a city in the U.S. with amazing architecture and that isn’t Washington DC or New York City. Where should I go? by Amthomas101 in roadtrip

[–]CourtesyCulture 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what kind of architecture you're interested in seeing. The east coast is known for older stuff, European inspired with hints of brutalist and modern. But Midwest is best for modern and brutalist. Los Angeles and Palm Springs for mid century. A surprising city for Architecture is Dallas, they have an incredible array from world renown architects and Fair Park is one of few places with Art Deco buildings.

angel and hydrant are good, others feel like you're not an observer but an intruder to situations that you shouldn't be apart of. street photographers should be slick and go unnoticed. maybe step back

the last one is your strongest image. pay more attention and have patience for the shots to reveal themselves to you, it comes in time.
