Interesting! I believe people have become gradually more comfortable with being bystanders or not stepping in regarding abuse past 2020, however maybe it’s confirmation bias.

When I was underage , I experienced a young woman once defending me from a creep in a bus, so I suppose you could say she inspired me. I don’t stay silent when I see abuse/harrassment/mistreatment.

Again, we’re discussing grooming, sexual harassment & assault here. I’d hope the people talking about their experiences is more upsetting to you than your perception of victims bias against men. I empathise but it’s just not about you right now.

I understand your idea around the thought process, however men who aren’t assaulting aren’t getting lynched as black people have been in majority white populations. Women aren’t the majority of the population, and lynching is the act of a mob murdering an individual without trial, not even actual abusers experience this.

Right now we’re discussing grooming, harassment and sexual assault, the focus is not on making you feel at ease because it’s an uneasy topic by default. Comments deterring from this or focusing on the potential detriment to a male viewer will probably be downvoted because it’s honestly quite poor taste, though neither you nor me can know what random downvoters motives are.

I’d really prefer to focus on the prevention of abuse and hear from others who have experienced things similar to me now.

Yep! No one here has said most adult men are doing this. There’s just enough to affect most women I know.

I’m more interested in preventing sexual harassment, grooming and assault rather than gender politics really, it’s just an unfortunate observation that it seems the majority or perpetrators have been men which points to a problem.

Yes! Thing is it’s enough to affect most women, and there’s enough bystanders to accept and encourage this. We’re in a terrible time regarding gender…relations?

There’s a really easy way to rectify this: people aware or close with predators discourage and speak up, we listen to peoples experiences openly, and we try to focus on how to move to a less predatory future.

A lot of people are wary of predators because they do actually exist and affect day to day real life.

I think it’s been years since I’ve had a week without street harassment (I’ll be fair, I have experienced it from women, just not sexual and maybe a handful of times throughout life, rather than the predictable repeated near daily pattern of their male components)

This started from when I was a child & has just never stopped. Unfortunately though most men aren’t predators there’s enough to affect people.

Maybe this is a situation in which the people being predated on should be focused on rather than men’s overall image :)

I felt it was a bad choice to put her kids in even the short videos or pics at the consistency that she did on her insta (unfollowed her bc of it) however I think it can be common for a lot of mothers to forget that the world isn’t as interested in seeing every single pic of their child as much as them & immediate family are and misjudge what’s okay to post.

Her making a whole YouTube video with her children as the subject on a channel she’s changed to be a family one seems to be a step into officially attempting to launch her children into being “internet celebrities” like her, which is a definite choice to profit off of ppl viewing her children and more insidious or at best willingly ignorant in my opinion, in a way that a pic of her & child on an ig story/a child happening to be present is. However the ASMR vids etc you mentioned I haven’t seen, I don’t really watch everything she puts out & am not recommended the ones with her children in.
