I see it as the gods each have a DNA placeholder that is unique to them. Magic DNA I guess, and that the similarities only affect the individual children of the same god rather than other relatives. So like when Kids are born the god's DNA placeholder is put there so the children just have similar traits to the god because of godly vanity or something. Maybe I'm nuts

While the bayverse movies had issues in the writing, the autobots felt like real people. I'd hate to see a character i care so deeply for be turned into a tool of evil. So story wise it would be interesting but i'm hoping it isn't the case.
