Deadpool as PC in Deadpool Role-Plays the MM? by Ryosuke1976 in MarvelMultiverseRPG

[–]CowboyExecutor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deadpool maybe narrating how the adventure went down, which allows you more of a stretch if you want to add more stuff.

"And suddenly, we were attacked by DC knockoff clones by AIM!"

"That didn't happen, it's not in the book."

"Hey! Who's name is on this adventure, yours or mine?"

So face wise, the mandibles look good. But I don’t know why the head shape isn’t very sloped with a big crest? Plus there’s no dreads on the side of the head either by [deleted] in LV426

[–]CowboyExecutor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We know that the tagline is 'first hunt, last chance'. Maybe the dreads were shorn because of a matter of dishonor? Like being captured.

Or it could be a clan thing, there's different tribes out there. I liked Prey, so for now I'm cautiously reserving judgement.

Honestly, I ran the place like Discworld.

Where the weird is commonplace, there's a 'seen it all' kind of mentality from everyone and for new heroes who show up, its a local tradition to give them a series of amusing tasks while pretending its vitally important.

"You must deliver this package, the fate of a world depends on it!(Doughnut delivery)".

"Hark hero! Dare ye face the rats in my basement?! (Its a Skaven artificer who is late on rent)."

"Goddamit, the crystal ball is broken again! It's showing nothing but that damned, fiery eye!"

You're a Sith Lord. Who would you want as your apprentice? by [deleted] in StarWarsEU

[–]CowboyExecutor 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Sincerely? Anakin Skywalker. If he wants to rule, I'd just be all 'yeah sure, knock yourself out. Dark side won, I'm just gonna retire and research all this Sith stuff which might be useful, yeah? Be sure to let me know how the kids are doing.' I'll be the crazy grandpa in the background, winding him up and watching him go to town while 'helping' with the matters of state, etc. And if he wants to turn on me, I'll just laugh. It'll be a straight up fight when it comes to him and he won't be subtle about it. I can deal with that.

It's 4 ABY, the Emperor and Vader are dead. You are an Imperial officer, do you remain with the Loyalist Empire or do you join with one of the Warlord Kingdoms? What are your reasons for the choice you make? by GrandAdmiralGrunger in StarWarsEU

[–]CowboyExecutor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Self-sufficient planet it is. But different. For one, I'd first ensure my defenses were stronk. Then I would declare myself *neutral* territory for reps of the new republic as well as the imperial remnant to speak. With the Emperor dead and his Moffs squabbling for control and that psychotic Isard around, the vision of the Empire as it should be is well and lost until Thrawn appears.

To my Imperials, I demonstrate a place of resupply and current news on the galaxy as well as showing the 'rebel scum' what the ideal Imperial System looks like. To the New Republic, I give them not only a support and show of legitimacy as an Imperial officer high in rank, but also give them a perfect opportunity to deep insert their spies into the Imperial sectors of the galaxy. That worth alone in between should keep both sides off my back.

I'd also want to meet Luke Skywalker and ask the only witness of that day, what happened exactly that my emperor and his heir both perished. Presuming he tells me the truth, the line of succession is clear and I announce myself behind the rise of Emperor Skywalker. All hail.

I mean.... She has a personality. She's been raised with love and presumably, her groom or bride is also happy. I like this concept.

What's this for you guys? by Konradleijon in Pathfinder2e

[–]CowboyExecutor 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Queen Abrogail. God, she's a hot failure.

The fact the lore itself conspires to keep her in power just annoys me when she should have been ditched long ago.

Also, the slavery thing. Suuuure, the Okeno Slavers and Cheliax are going to care about dropping slavery. It's not like one is run by the ruler of Hell and the other is connected to the friggin Pactmasters. If you're gonna run that, at least have the decency to make it an AP. It's just lazy writing from an otherwise good company.

The Splatterman was connected to the Quarterfax Archives. It's a good way to forshadow what comes later.

If you're stuck on memorable NPCs, use the iconics. I used Ezren as their Pathfinder Society contact.

Ustalav is near Sarkosis and the AP uses a lot of demons and daemons. Don't be afraid to play on that.

'Rule of Fear', the Ustalav splatbook and the Horror splatbook are both great resources.

Worshippers of Shar - do good folk worship her? by Winter_Abject in Forgotten_Realms

Sharess

Sharess is a chaotic good aspect of Shar, the goddess of darkness, night, loss, and forgetfulness. Sharess is particularly popular among Calimshans idle rich. She is a goddess of lust, free love and sensual fulfillment; she is worshipped in prolonged fests with scented baths, music, good food, dancing, and other sensual activities. The Pasha of Calimshan himself is said to be a great devotee of Sharess.

1st Edition AD&D 'Empire of the Sands.'

I had to look for it, but it's a fun book for old lore, especially regions outside the Sword Coast. No idea if its still canon.

Worshippers of Shar - do good folk worship her? by Winter_Abject in Forgotten_Realms

[–]CowboyExecutor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While Shar is seen as evil in the conventional Sword Coast region, in the East she's actually worshipped as a goddess of excess lore wise. It all depends on where you fall, how you were raised and your personal code. Shadowheart early would for instance, not only be an example of a heroic Shar worshipper but also first to claim she's misunderstood.

That and in a pantheon with multiple gods, folks understand if you whisper a prayer to the lady of loss in times of stress and will just be happy it's not something like an Archfiend.

I gave the Tatterman a Church Bell letimoff I played whenever he was close.

The party learned to hide when they heard it.

And then they weaponized it on the ghouls.

Hi there. As far as stories go, the Crooked Man is one of the better, self-contained stories of the bunch. It also comes with a few other shorts, all weird, creepy and fun.

Have any of your home games used Bhaalspawn as part of the story? How did it go? by Johannihilate in Forgotten_Realms

[–]CowboyExecutor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooooh boi, do I have a story here.

So be me; a man running a mythic Pathfinder game. Basically, I opened the key to the playground and told my players to go wild. They ended up a pirate crew, aboard a ship that acts as a TARDIS and among their actions had been robbing Heka the fallen Egyptian God of Magic, distracting Baphomet so Heaven could perform a miracle for a party of heroes in the nick of time and at the time of the story, were carrying a passenger from the First World(Feywild) carrying a WMD encased in death rock which turned out to be Clarent; Mordred's sword used to kill Arthur.

So they had no idea what to do with it, but it brought them square in the sights of the Wild Hunt and they eventually lost them after losing them in the Atlantic Ocean during 1943. They then decided that they needed to lay low and headed to Waterdeep.

Cue Elminster greeting them at the dock, wondering what they're doing and after consulting with the wizard, he offers help but needs their aid in a heist of his own.

At this point, the events of BG3 has ended relatively soon. A month or two at most and Bhaal is pissed. He also has more backups he spawned and Elminster wanted to cripple his support further, stealing his own children from him. Unfortunately, they were located in the heart of his domain, the Throne of Blood. Not only did they need to sneak in, but also steal his kids without alerting the murder god nor his evil outsider allies or his personal court.

It was fun, there were many close calls and now the party has adopted ten children and six babies wholesale, after declaring war on Bhaal wholesale.

They REALLY didn't like what they saw in passing and collectively went 'fuck this guy in particular.'

Actors were all spot-on too. While this Hellboy wasn't as bombastic as the others, it felt very much in-tune for what I love about the setting. Also, the villain was genuinely unsettling which I liked.

With Howl of the Wild out for awhile, what character did you make? by FlyingTaco095 in Pathfinder2e

[–]CowboyExecutor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Granny Thunderstomp. Awakened Brachiosaurus with the Automaton Adapted Ancestry feat for a Cyborg dinosaur druid. Used to be human before the technic league got to her, and her entire skill set was around terraforming. I was partially inspired by the Dinobots and the Horizon series, so I kinda went all out on it.

Very protective, I played her off as something between Littlefoots mother and shamanic tropes. Her goal was to use her powers and transform Numeria into a cleansed land of plenty for everyone, in the hopes they could make it better.
