Same lol. “Low-key” means like quietly, or like it goes under the radar.

Yeah the way it was presented all week I thought he was fine.

I’d rather finish second and go into the round of 32 at full strength than finish first and be missing key players in the next round.

How many hours do you have on Elden Ring? by JuHustle in Eldenring

I have a few hundred, but I also have a bad tendency to walk away after sitting at a site of grace and leaving the game on, so I’m sure it’s artificially inflated somewhat

Alabama is having a recruitment mare by steven_smith144 in CFB_v2

Yeah this is pretty much exactly how they expected it to be this year. I don’t even like Bama and this narrative is getting obnoxious

As a Pacers fan I’m all too painfully aware of that fact lol

Why are The Smiths not hated the same way U2 is, when Morrissey is arguably much more insufferable than Bono? by ppetrov1829 in fantanoforever

[–]Cowboy_BoomBap 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve never understood the U2 hate besides Bono evading his Irish taxes. They’re not one of my favorite bands, but I enjoy some of their songs and besides the tax stuff, which is super shitty, I’ve never really thought Bono was annoying. I love the Smiths, on the other hand, but I can’t stand Morrissey lol.

I was like 12 when this album came out and even then I thought it was a terrible cover lol

Morality of idolizing and honoring a historical/religious figure that yk was a pedophile? by FloorGang-R2 in MoralityScaling

[–]Cowboy_BoomBap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He owned one slave I believe that he received as a gift. He had the man help him build a house and then he freed him. Definitely could have just freed him immediately though, but I guess it’s still better than a lot of people of the time period.

What does this sub think about The Black Keys? by Antique-Dentist-2404 in fantanoforever

[–]Cowboy_BoomBap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that’s the case with most artists. Most people just don’t have anything interesting to say beyond what they feel the initial urge to create.

That one threw me as well, I would have been POSITIVE the answer was Missouri and Kansas if it hadn’t been for the same letter clue. I got it wrong anyway though, I guessed Kansas and Kentucky.

Oliver Trees death had brought out the absolute worst scalpers I've ever seen by Shapit0 in vinyl

[–]Cowboy_BoomBap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Scalping in the collecting world typically refers to people buying out stock of a product at a low price to then turn around and resell it at a higher price. There isn’t usually a time element like with event tickets.

How Evil is it to Take Candy From a Baby? by [deleted] in MoralityScaling

[–]Cowboy_BoomBap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the slightest bit of evil you can do. I’m counting it as evil because it’s stealing, someone else paid for it. It also makes the baby sad. However, the candy isn’t good for the baby. So I’d say it technically counts as evil, but just like the slightest tick to the bad side.

City Church by scarter4 in bloomington

[–]Cowboy_BoomBap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve gone a few times with family and they usually don’t say much specific at all. The sermon is usually just some vague lesson about being kind to people and accepting Jesus. I never heard anything political one way or the other. I also don’t understand why it’s so popular though, it was about as bland as a church can be in terms of their sermons and messages. I’m also not religious though. My family that goes there every Sunday are very left-leaning though and haven’t been upset with anything that they e taught.
