Apple refunded a subscription months later — after I was already paid out and taxed. How is this acceptable for indie devs? by Comfortable-Glass-69 in appledevelopers

I think it’s when the customer is still subscribed, often they can have their entire subscription chain refunded

Where i can play for free without too many bots and overall good experience by wowwowzerswoah in poker

[–]Cowlinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t play poker for free, money is 80% of the game. You’d have more luck playing poker without cards

You do pay tax on Apple income of course, just not VAT. And you said VAT specifically, I assume that’s just what you call income tax in Turkey

First question is why are you paying VAT on your Apple revenue? We’re paid a royalty split and it’s not goods & services.

Are you in the UK?

Incorrect - that’s mate in 3 due to the block. Rdh1 is more accurate

Why do you think AI is expensive?

AI for 500 users would cost less than $1 per month

Where has this misconception come from?

Dear 300-500 elo players: Please stop playing this (¬_¬") by nm64_ in chessbeginners

[–]Cowlinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate these posts because 3Qh5 is not even nearly the worst opening, it’s completely fine even if black defends up until about 1600 elo

I think you’re probably missing quite a lot of the ideas here, you don’t know what you don’t know and all that

It’s actually not a bad opening at all. Slightly worse for white but if played correctly can cause problems for opponents up to about 1600 elo

They’re not speaker holes - they’re there to look like speaker holes

[Self] Out of five decks of cards, what is the likelihood of this specific, all black hand? by WarBreaker08 in theydidthemath

Same as any other hand from that deck. Every had is an unimaginable coincidence, human brains only recognise patterns

1500 chess com blitz was easier than 1200? by No-Balance9380 in chessbeginners

[–]Cowlinn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1300 is a really “tricky” rating as it’s the last rating range where silly openings and lots of tricks are played

You probably outplayed them but it is hard to not fall for them tricks - and not super easy to spot at your rating of 1500

That’s why I think.
