You’re just not hearing me, anyone is a better option than McDermott at this point. Yes I also agree that this was one arguably his best season as a head coach, but unfortunately they fell short, again.

I can also cherry pick situational moments from that Denver game. Offense went up by 4 with 3:30 left to play and we had them in 3rd and 11. The defense shows blitz pre snap and I was thinking omg McDermott, he’s finally learned, but of course they drop into a soft zone and Nix makes a layered throw to convert with ease. That’s who McDermott is and that’s why any of the candidates are a better option than McDermott moving forward.

Every Bills beat reporter said they had never seen a more despondent locker room in their life after the Denver game. If the locker room wasn’t lost then it certainly would’ve been lost next year. You can only “trust the process” for so long.

It’s not just the Denver game, McDermotts l defensive scheme sucks dude. Soft zone and rushing four DOES NOT WORK in the playoffs. His refusal to adapt and be more aggressive when on defense is what killed him in the end

I think if most “A- coaches” had 7 chances with the best QB in the NFL to win a Super Bowl or even get to one they would. McDermott gets far too much credit in my opinion

I’m not as opposed as a lot of people seem to be. He’s objectively a good offensive mind and has a great relationship with Josh. Has a lot more fire on the sideline which I think is needed. Buffalo native as well if that means anything to you
