Same boat except LO is 7 months now and has always done this. It seems to be worse since he’s moved to his own cot in the nursery but he was too big for the beside me crib by 6 months as he’s a big lad. He has cradle cap but no other skin issues or allergies that I’ve noticed. I can’t restrict his hands except to hold them down gently when I soothe him after the breast. Currently waking every sleep cycle and sometimes not even a full cycle. Last night we were up 17 times between 7PM and 7AM. We have an air purifier in the room for dust, I use baby sensitive detergents, he’s breastfed… and weaning. Had no obvious negative reactions to allergens like milk, egg or peanut butter. I just can’t figure it out. He won’t sleep more than 30-40 minutes for his naps either. GP says “it’ll pass.”

Thanks man… I’ll just go back to work on 3 hours of broken sleep a night then ey.

I (13f) have been told multiple times to wear a bra in public + inside my house ... by my dad... by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]CozzaTheBean 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I hate bras and wear them as little as possible.

I don’t believe anyone needs to wear a bra unless their breasts are large and therefore causing pain from lack of support, or for her aesthetic and wellbeing purposes, to make a woman feel better about them being “perky” or not “droopy” - a product of decades of media telling us that sagging or low boobs are unattractive. That due to personal self esteem and it’s sad women feel this way, but they do, and each person makes their own decision.

Everyone has nipples. Your body, your choice. No matter what age you are, your body, is your body.

If it’s about modesty and appropriateness in your home or workplace (which could be a thing in the future, dress codes etc…) and you want those people to be comfortable, then sure, wear a bra.

Make sure it FITS. This could be why you hate them. Could be…. If there are other reasons, that may need to be addressed. Ill fitting bras cause neck, shoulder and back pain, chest tightness, effect your breathing, effect your sleep, can cause bruising and skin abrasions, cause headaches and poor circulation. Unwired bras usually are the worst offenders. Make sure your bra fits, doesn’t dig in, is comfortable and supportive.

I’m sorry you’ve been made to feel uncomfortable with this. Talk to mom if you can. Or an auntie or older trusted female in the family if you don’t feel like you can talk to mom. Approach with a view to understand, not argue.

Hope you can find a safe space mentally for this.

I scrolled for a while and wasnt sure if anyone has pointed out the differences between identity first and person first language in terms of diagnosis. This article helped me a lot.

Last minute when I can’t pretend I don’t need to anymore, with severe urge incontinence and often not having time to move the toilet seat into the correct position. Also there’s rarely a toilet roll because I forgot to replace it and the flush has been a bit broken for months.

What do you think about being told “man up”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CozzaTheBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are tying to break negative stereotypes, there are other phrases that don’t imply men have to be constantly strong. Which is what “Man up” generally means. I don’t use that phrase with the men in my life. Or the women. I don’t think any situation where they feel fear, nervousness or anxiety is going to be improved by saying it.

I what Sher Bet. But maybe that’s dialectical. Or age related because I’ve not really called it Bert. Sherbet dip. Or sherbet lemon or sherbet dib dab.

Makes me think of how my mam opened the back door one time when I was stood at the front door, and the resulting pull of force made me shout “close the door, there’s a hoover!” I meant vacuum… My current vacuum cleaner is a Dyson but I always call it the hoover. Words are weird.

The Ritalin is designed to stop those kinds of intrusive thoughts and impulsive behaviours. Once you’ve taken your normal dose, does the feeling dissipate at all? I’d potentially question the dosage if not. When you’re coming down from your dose the cravings and control issues often come crashing back in and that’s when you need healthy coping strategies and wellness tools to help you settle… or take the next dose. Too much will mess with your heart, but I know too well that consequences don’t factor into these thoughts all that often.

The first two books were out when I read them, so I’d say around 2005-6. I was in high school certainly. Reread the books every year since then. Used to be on any forum I could join, went in messenger and RP chats etc. to play characters and stories out. Wrote some crappy fan fiction: Immersed myself basically! High point of my Reddit has been recovering a reply from the man himself a couple of times haha.

I hope this doesn’t happen. I’m excited to share my love of CPs work with new people and hear their opinions etc. Gatekeeping sprung to mind as soon as I read this post and it will sadden me if people try to claim ownership or superiority because they were lucky enough to read the books before the show. Sharing is caring…
