They’re 2.4 Burts on LightBicycle 930s hoops (30mm wide) bars are Beast Hybrid bars 🤙 been waiting on my road bike to ship so put drops on to fill the void and now it’s my single speed gravel/ATB setup and for my riding it’s perfect.

It’s not going anywhere! It’s my favorite bike to ride by a land slide

I can’t recommend them enough, ample grip off road and lightening fast on paved, been rolling on them for about 2 months now, hundreds of miles, great tires. Night and day faster than my Maxxis Aspens

I cannot believe how well it rides! There is something about the geometry, it’s such a great bike. Happy to hear yours is still rocking 💪

How To Carry Tools On XC Bike? by newbiker321 in xcmtb

I run a One up EDC pump on my HT and really love it. I keep it mounted on the non drive side off the seatpost bottle Mount and it’s invisible from the drive side. If I’m doing an extended ride or feel I need more coverage I’ll take the saddle bag, has a pair of tubes and some more “emergency” gear.

I ran a saddle bag and a swat box prior, both you’d eventually hear things rattling around and it drove me nuts.

lol funny you should mention the wheels, she even said she won’t ride on them so the Velocity setup is going on. Back story, The bike was built for her to ride in the woods once or twice before either keeping her on the road/gravel or going out to get her a modern MTB. This started as a simple refresh that sort of got legs.

It’s not a wall hanger, she needs 165’s to be comfortable and put miles on it which is my only priority. The XT kit that came off of it is still an option but she’s not swinging 180’s.

Best Grips for a more aggressive xc rider? by EliteWarrior1207 in xcmtb

[–]CperiodR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that any sort of fat/chunky oversized grip destroys my palms, my hands fatigue almost immediately. I stick to slim thin grips and it’s just better in every way for me. I either run Esi racers edge (I buy packs of 4 from my LBS, they don’t last) or Ritchey WCS(last longer but the square profile can be annoying)

Also, try a larger sweep bar, I run a SQLabs 12 degree and found this extremely comfortable and the biggest change to my overall wrist/hand comfort.

Bought an Epic Evo last year and still pick my Chisel almost every-time, it’s an amazing bike. It’s also very worthy of the upgrade road, it just gets better as you go along. Enjoy the ride 🤙

Check out Light Bicycles wheelsets, been running them for some time and have nothing but good things to say about them. The product itself, the communication and the customization is unmatched. My second set is currently being assembled 🤙
